Live Blogging The Sprint Cup Series From Richmond (ABC - 7PM ET)
From the first race in Daytona we have now arrived at the final Sprint Cup Series race before the playoffs begin. This is a huge night for the NASCAR on ESPN production team. The tension in the TV compound, pictured above, is big.
Allen Bestwick will set the tone with the NASCAR Countdown pre-race show. There is a live college football game on ABC prior to the NASCAR telecast. Hopefully, things will happen as scheduled, but Bestwick is the best at dealing with live sports TV in a NASCAR setting.
This week it will be only Rusty Wallace and Brad Daugherty joining Bestwick in the Infield Pit Studio. Wallace continues to be outspoken and opinionated, while Daugherty has been put into the role of cheerleader and nothing more. The infield team is always good for a quick shot of enthusiasm during the event, but the three announcers upstairs are the ones really feeling the pressure.
There are going to be a lot of eyes on Jerry Punch, Dale Jarrett and Andy Petree. Friday night, Jarrett appeared to be tired during the Nationwide Series race after a long day on the air. It was Petree who stepped up and took the lead during the telecast.
On this night, the atmosphere is going to be electric. Translating that level of excitement to the millions of TV viewers is the challenge for ESPN. Jerry Punch is the person who has been chosen to do just that and it is his third season in the play-by-play position. This telecast needs to work, it's that simple.
Jarrett has been the anchor in the booth for two "Backseat Driver" telecasts of Nationwide Series races that had no play-by-play announcer. While this concept was interesting, it has also resulted in Jarrett becoming unclear on his role. Sometimes, he jumps in and supplies the excitement when Punch has faded. On other races, he waits until he is asked a question to respond. Hopefully, both Petree and Jarrett will step-up and lead the way during this telecast.
On pit road will be Shannon Spake, Jamie Little, Dave Burns and Vince Welch. This group is going to be dealing with some emotional drivers and crew chiefs during the race. It should be interesting to watch this dynamic unfold.
On TV, Richmond is a challenge. Cutting cameras to stay ahead of the cars and let them race toward the camera makes all the difference. Getting behind leaves viewers watching cars racing away from them all night long. This is easy to do as the laps grind by. Richmond features great aerial shots, a super low camera on the backstretch and great pictures of glowing brake rotors.
The graphics tonight are either going to be informative or simply drive viewers crazy. Everyone knows the Chase is going to be set by this race, so the ESPN team has the challenge of deciding how many times that is going to be mentioned in the race.
Throw in a little rain delay and some extended caution flags and it could be a very long night.
This post is going to serve to host your comments about the Sprint Cup Series race from Richmond on ABC. To add your TV-related opinion, just click on the comments button below. This is a family-friendly website, please keep that in mind when posting. Thanks again for dropping by tonight.

«Oldest ‹Older 401 – 600 of 702 Newer› Newest»In reality, they have been covering mostly 'chasers' for the past 10 races. Once they get to their mythical 'Race to the chase', no one else matters. I wish the 'other 33' would just park for the last 10 races. They might as well, for all the coverage they get.
ESPN volume on 1. MRN on in the background now.
@Sally - And there'll be a debris caution every time the leader catches up to the 12th place guy. :)
Carl is having some serious problems, maybe transmission *and* voltage.
Drat!
--KarenB
Is anyone as enthralled by this whole crapshoot format as the media is?
Honestly, have we seen any debris? I don't watch every second.
Hey, it's Tim.
anybody have an mrn link? I want to mute my TV.
I don't think they've shown the debris for Tony's lucky dog or for Matt's lucky break.
OMG! now tech center explains the back-up system in the car. what a waste.
does espn know who their audience is tonight?!? i'm pretty sure there aren't too many yellow-stripers this late into the season!
Red...they are assuming the crapshoot format is SO exciting that lots of people who don't normally watch have tuned in just to see who will make it. Yawn.
What's with all the silence??? It sounds so awkward
He takes that spot back away, says JP
Anyone else following Brad K on Twitter his PR guy or whoever is hysterical
keselowskiweb Then David Ragan helps Brad into his pit stall. Not the way we normally do it, guys. Is that how UPS usually delivers dude?
That's it. I'm out. I am so sick of ESPN coming back to the pit studio instead of the booth. It totally ruins the flow of the coverage.
What's the deal with Jr's car? He's up and down like a yo yo.
That phantom debris just kept Kenseth from losing any chance to catch up to Vickers and Busch, now he's gaining spots and just points away from bumping one of them out of 12th.
Not even halfway folks, how you liking it so far?
sally: all i can say is: they have reached an incorrect assumption, in my opinion.
I see other cars on the track, but I don't hear any info on them.

Seriously considering going to bed and some of my drivers are in the top 5 zzzzzzzzzzz
this from MRN ...Montoya, usually the fiery one, told his crew to calm down
@ JD
It's awful. Punch can't even remember the driver's names any more. He's resorted to using just numbers.
If I wasn't using my computer's speakers to listen to Carl's radio, I'd switch over to the radio broadcast.

not so much, jd, not so much.
feels as if there's absolutely no continuity tonight. part of it is the constant changing of camera angles. every time that happens, i feel as if i ahev to re-adjust my viewing to try and figure out what i'm seeing on the screen. it's exhausting.
i wish we could just have one camera angle for an extended period, like maybe the overhead shot.
(and it's raining AGAIN here. . . sigh.)
How many "home town track for Hamlin" references have we heard?
Does ESPN seriously not realize how much they dilute the excitement of the race by just covering the chasers? I know they've been crowing about ratings going up the last 3 races, but seriously...is .2% worth bragging about? To me it just sucks the life out of each race.
MRN calling side-by-side battle for the lead, ESPN replaying video clip from last night.
JD: ZZZzzzz..... Dr. Jerry Punch can not do play-by-play. All stats, all the time. Car numbers, hometowns, ages, # of wins, # of championships, # of points, # of positions. Gave me a headache.
MikeC said...
How many "home town track for Hamlin" references have we heard?
i think it's one less than the number of times we've been told mark martin is 50 years old -- but i could be wrong.
Couldn't agree more to all of it...
JD, I'm just about ready to call it a nite. I'm taping, which will suck when I play it back Sun morn, because I will have to listen to the booth. Actually, I won't, cuz prob fast forward thru everything except who got in, cuz they won't call the race...:(
Poor Regan. Hope he gets back out.
Poor Regan that car has been a mess today
and that demonstrates one of the biggest problems w/the broadcast tonight: the 78 car blows up but they just keep talking about the 17 car before FINALLY giving us a replay. still no solid inof as to what happened, just speculation. "might be the brakes going . . . "
if you're not a chaser, you're invisible even when you wreck.
JD
regarding tweeting while watching and eating Nascar food...Funny!! But seriously, so many of us find that "if the race ended now, the Chase would be abc"...sigh
the MRN guys are talking about the Chase but managing to do it in a way that does not make me wanna scream...so MRN is doing great job.
Dr. T
I must say I am not a fan of the guys in the tv both but like them all as individuals. It's not only excitement in vocals but voice inflection and 'sounding more interesting'. Doesn't do well to talk in monotone but on the other hand, not a fan of the sing songy" either....one needs to find their niche and it would behoove these guys to listen to themselves and take notes.
I'm tempted to turn on the booth since I am blogging here and then ask myself...WHY?
I am sure I will be stuck with the PRN guys enough the next 10 races. :(
I bet my friend at the race is seeing a lot more racing than I am.
It sounds so exciting on the radio, then I make the mistake of looking at the TV --- *sigh*
Marcos Ambrose gambles with 2 tires per MRN.
Hey, I just joined you (after cooking dinner), I hear Mark Martin is 50 and Vickers was in, w/Kyle and Kenseth out before the caution.
Pammm, any other PXP guy would have us on the edge of our seats tonight.
Eli Gold, Barney Hall, Dave Moodie, Rick Allen, Mike Joy and even good old Ralph Sheheen.
This is just flat out embarrassing for a professional TV network.
Hope you hang in there for the rest of the season.
red, regan never blew up. they had battery trouble earlier and replaced the alternator, then just now the right front blew
ESPN is pretty much a waste of time ...using MRN audio exclusively now, glancing up when something of interest happens ...go ahead, JD, get your rest ...sweet dreams of wideshots and low backstretch cameras angles that show real racing
It's obvious since this is the first race on OTA television since Dover in June that they must feel there's novices who haven't watched since then. They're explaining the simplest things....like pit road speed limits and rules, and so forth.
@ Buschseriesfan61, thanks. My Twitter keeps going out.
Patrick, Richmond is Denny Hamlin's home track and Petty merged with Yates.
Moodie?
JD just off in your own spelling island today, i noticed sofia earlier too...
laptop woes continue...
more like 'bubble head' broadcast than bubble drivers' JP
Full throttle is the dumbest gimmick that ESPN has. It is absolutely pointless.
*sigh*
Why do they think this is cool?
--KarenB
JD, this chase format is sure making these last 6 or so broadcasts very boring for me. Why don't the non-chase drivers deserve a peek or a word or two.
MRN - Play-by-play by the turn announcers
ESPN - Full throttle with 30 spotters talking at the same time.
I have occasionally walked thru & looked at the TV -it is not even close to what MRN is "showing" me. What a huge waste of resources by the WWL.
McDowell in the 36 tweeted he was out because of bad engine vibration evidently wasn't a S&P this week
@david: yeah, i know he didn't blow up as in his engine blew. but since there was no information about how and why he ended up in the wall, i couldn't think of a way to describe it.
"wadded up" is probably more what i was thinking.
still detest full throttle.
espn needs to "let the race occur naturally" because this is a mess.
Vicky...according to the media, if they want coverage, they need to run up front. (Usually accompanied by a smug look and probably a "Nya nya"). They just think the crapshoot has added a ton of excitement...because we should be thrilled about who, more than 500 points behind the leader, might get lucky and get a champeenship. any of us who disagree are idiots who have no idea what makes exciting racing. I've raead that from many sources who REALLLY know racing.
MRN: Martin Truex Jr. passes Jeff Burton for 11th
ESPN: Single car tight shot of Kyle Busch
Oh great...now they want to put everyone in the crapshoot who wins a race. If they keep this up, we may end up bakc with everyone 'eligible. like it used to be.
JD, of course I will hang in the rest of the season, even tho my guy will barely get a mention! Remember, Nascar is the only sport I follow, altho I sure liked the ending of the ftball game that preceded the race!! Just poop out on nite races-I'm old ya know!! I'm true blue if nothing else..:)
Full Throttle=Tower of Babel. I'd have rather heard nat sound than that. Richmond has a unique pitch when Sprint Cup cars are wide open under green.
Did I just hear DJ float a trial balloon for a tweak to the Chase to put winners of races in?
I can't be listening to the same race that's on TV.
Just not possible.
if your kenseth wouldn't you consider taking 2 tires at some point and if late enough in the race, maybe even gas only, that would be something say with 15 laps to go
i gotta end: the end of this race can't come too soon for me . . .
HOLY SH** did they just promo the trucks?!
Because we'll never hear it on the race broadcast...regan smith's streak is official over. they have retired from the race... too bad.
David
Actually I prefer Sophia with an F if I would've thought of that 10 years ago when I got on the internet and grabbed a nikname out of the sky...Soph or Sof...doesn't matter..but I wish I could change my email to "F" instead of Ph...I think that is the Italian spelling or Spanish spelling...
course my real first name is French but I digress...
Sophia/Sofia/Sybil (for those old enough to remember THAT Sally Field movie :) )
Hornish one of the fastest cars on the track...
Bozo: I think you'll see some track position strategy when we get late enough in the race. Hopefully this broadcast team will be aware enough to cover it.
AB, why'd you have to say "if you are new to NASCAR"
Too bad for Smith. So the chase begins next week huh? I thought we have been hearing about it for months already.
Drink (MM=50)
How old is Mark Martin?
Too bad for Regan. Thanks, J.
I see Vickers is now green.
bozo, no. ask marcos ambrose about 2 tires. the tires fall off SO much right now you can't gamble like that
David, ESPN and SPEED have always swapped promos.
ESPN avoided promoting one Sprint Cup Series race on Fox or TNT all season.
And no one from NASCAR said a word about it....sweet.
Mark Martin is 50 #4
Gulp.
My goodness they just covered this very same stuff with Martin 45 minutes ago!
oh crap! AB, listen to us: there is no one new enough to nascar watching tonight to not know how this whole chase business works!
and ANOTHER "50 year old" reference.
followed by dr punch telling us how everything "re-sets in new hampshire."
sometimes i just wish they would all zip it and just let the sounds of the track and an overhead camera tell the story for about 100 laps or so.
wow, Twitter spam. That was new.
Hamlin is catching up to Ambrose and Kenseth to lap them,... phantom debris caution coming.
That's why I said, since this is the first race on Over-The-Air television, they must feel that there's a large piece of the viewership tonight that hasn't seen a NASCAR race before. They must think some of those Michigan-Notre Dame viewers stuck around.
Wow! The mentioned two non-chasers!
--KarenB
Hornish in 5th, just drove around the 3 time defending champ
Oh dear God RW old wins at Richmond, they have got to be kidding
What a bread for this race, they had footage of Rusty Wallace.
is this really the appropriate time for this history lesson of rusty wallace?!?
Gotta love JP....going into the break, "the leader is Denny Hamlin in the 11 car"
First words out of the break, "Denny Hamlin is our leader in the 11 car."
@MikeC-
They must think there are enough over-the-air viewers who were watching Notre Dame-Michigan who didn't find a bar to watch ESPN's USC-Ohio State game and wouldn't rather watch US Open tennis.
Hornish is the 2nd fastest car on the track
bread = break
Matt just went down a lap. *sigh* I guess I'll have to be content with two Roush drivers in the Chase.
Go Vickers! (Sorry David.)
--KarenB
4 minutes since the last set of commercials.
If they say "50 year old Mark Martin" like it was his whole damn name one more time during this NASCAR race I am leading a charge on Bristol Connecticut.
Even the PRN guys are calling out BSPN on their full video packages under green!
Nice to show debris when it's a car we're under the caution for.
@Ping...get out the torches and pitchforks, because I can guarantee you it will be said MANY more times.
Must be some high class ED medicine, that Cialis stuff. At least we don't get Smilin' Bob or the ever nubile ExtenZe spokeslady.
Matt is practically done,... Kyle and Brian would have to both drop back by about 7 positions to let Matt back into the top-12.
@ Sally, I had that same scene in my head. Almost commented on it myself. Funny.
is it over yet?
If ESPN didn't have Monday Night Football would we be seeing this bit?
JD,
It wasn't a spam. I just wanted you to add me that's all.
To expand on Mike C's comment, do they show footballers talking about their favorite drivers?
I am so glad I am missing the Mark Martin AGEISM references.^%$#@%!
sigh
it's best to listen to the race and do laundry, clean, wash your hair..less aggravating.
Fyi, speaking of aging...
did you guys know if you use a towel for a turban on your head to help dry your hair, it's like a mini facelift? Seriously..instant mini forehead lift. Between the wet hair and the wet towel, the weight stays shifted towards the back of your head and lifts the forehead....Next time you wash your hair, try it..works ladies. :)
I wish it were acceptable to wear a towel on my head in public..if I had a better quality webcam, I would show a demonstration in a Bubbletweet. :-)
Ok the drop down graphic on this HD station is so tiny compared to the tv in my room..but I like having radio on the big stereo so I can hear it while doing other things.
Sitting and just trying to watch the tv is just so annoying isn't it. Sad what has happened to this sport.
I am SO GRATEFUL for MRN access during the Cup races.
MRN says the attitude of guys in the chase with nothing to lose but wanting to WIN this race could cause some cautions at this track...I think the race needs to end.
MRN talking about JPM..hope they don't jinx his night
JP said Gordon was the leader. Thats not what I saw.
Why did they put that cheesehead on Matt? I guess MNF is getting ready to start?
Shouldn't a pit reporter tell us what happened to Tony?
Anon, just DM me on Twitter anytime!
no problem thank you.
@Dot - There you go, you got your explanation.
@ JD
You can't DM you on Twitter. I've tried before. You have your account set up to not receive DMs unless you are following the person who is DMing you.
--KarenB
@ JD
Or maybe it's me. Let me check...
--KarenB
Karen, then anyone can just msg me normally. Some folks want to be private, so they email me their Twitter acct, but when I follow them, everyone sees.
Lots of things for Twitter to work on as far as I am concerned.
At least they listen.
Karen, I have to be following you for us to DM.
kb
if somebody is not following YOU, you can't DM them on Twitter. Standard procedure
We're rarely getting more than 5 or 6 minutes of racing in between commercial breaks. At this rate, they better show the last 75 laps uninterrupted. (I know, I'm dreaming.)
That's why I still get a lot of email. Folks do not want to comment or make their Twitter acct public.
This race seems more interminable than Pocono. I've opted for some hot Spider Solitaire to fill in.
"Hamlin's trying to win on his hometown track"
Again, why the Sports Center update? Who would go to ABC for sports updates during a live event when there are 4 other ESPN channels?
Hey girls, Danica is watching the race. She tweeted, "Sam hornish in the top 12! yeah go sammy". So, she's paying attention to NASCAR.
p.s. I see JD & I posted same time.
Also the DM follower list is often OUTDATED on Twitter..annoying..all ur followers do not show up..so you have to click on their site and DM from there. Bummer for that is no record of what the heck you sent them like in normal Twitter DM.
That is very strange...Twitter has many things to iron out...and seems to have regional outages as well as national. Same as Gmail issues.
JP reading the news again...
They're determined to create controversy between Montoya & Kahne.
Vicki, Matt is a big Green Bay fan. They've shown him at camp, etc. Hence, the cheesehead.
Jerry Punch can you stop reporting?
@patrick: she and hornish are friends. she keeps track of how he's doing each week.
I have given up. MRN keeps going in & out. Stuck watching Jerry Punch on the 10:30 ABC sports report.
from @RPMpotorsports, "Did You Know: R. Smith's DNF tonight gives R. Sorenson the longest active DNF streak in Sprint Cup - 51 races - 52 if he finishes tonight!"
If you think about it clearly, keeping the Nationwide and Truck Series races in mind, there has been NO play by play tonight.
Marty Reid and Rick Allen must just be shaking their heads.
No one calling what we are actually seeing on the screen.
Burton is spinning and they cut to replay?
red, i was just churning the vitriol that the female persuasion has here.
why the heck didnt they WAIT to show that replay. wait for the 31 to at least get to pit road first!
not what i wanted to see. needed green to the end for kyle, and for hornish to get going to pass the 83
Where can I listen to MRN online? All my California affiliates are broadcasting football!
Why do they bother with the tech center? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?
--KarenB
I TOTALLY missed MRN calling out the TV for GF video coverage...must've been when I was in the closet.
hanging up laundry.
Interesting!
wait, what? the exhaust pipe openings cut down the tire? did brewer just say that? i was relying on closed-captioning b/c i'm listening to mrn exclusively now.
Caution for debris from the #31. Too bad we didn't see because they went to a replay so fast.
Tim Brewer teaching us how a tire gets cut. O Lordy
What is that big black round thing and what does it do? I've seen them on cars around here, but only when I'm awake.
That looked like a contrived tech garage....it's like they're obligated to go to it so many times during a race.
Kenseth better stay out and get waved around if he wants to have any chance at making that top-12.
exhaust pipes? really? i have never heard that before.
Anonymous said...

--
Which game is on the ABC affiliates? and what are their call letters?
red they can.
they are steel pipes and the edges can be sharp.
honestly anything on the side of that car can cut a tire down, looked like stremme's right rear fenderwell caught burton's tire on the edge but that sideskirt or exhaust opening could easily have sliced that tire.
bad choice showing the replay when they did
Ok.....someone better be ready to call play by play.....I get the sense the intensity is about to pickup between Vickers & Kyle....like 2 dogs going for 1 bone.
Anon
there are not FREE MRN sites online...several have been emailed to me but none work..only the pay sites of Nascar. :(
or I would listen for all races....and one station I tried for another race said they were carrying NASCAR "but could not stream the current broadcast"...for a mid series race...but I can't tell you who that was.
If anybody has a SURE THING for radio all the time, do let me know or email please nice.
or maybe it's a FFox block thing some streams don't work..haven't figure that out
bwahahaha, Vickers beat Kyle out the pits.
@MikeC - Tech Garage is sponsored by Craftsman, I bet they have to give them what they pay for.
anon@1041 - try wwwlwpsk107.com ...also check www.motorracingnetwork.com for stations in your area
ok where can i pay to listen to MRN? what's the best deal? i will pay cash to get jerry punch out of my living room.
Sophia--it was PRN Brett sent a tweet calling them out on it :)
@MikeC - Where's Jimmy Spencer with his "male dogs in heat" references when you need him?
anon @10:41 -
sorry that should read: www.wpsk107.com
dang Mikey
yes, Martin Vincent, but what are they paying for, and are they getting their money's worth. I say Evernham should be there. Brewer to the house.
Michael Curtis spins
wpsk is about 1 min behind but works great. thank!
@david: i think i need a further explanation. the exhaust pipes themselves don't extend out of the openings, right? and i thought the openings thru the car body were rounded edges around the exhaust vents. so what sharp edge could the tire have contacted? a valve stem snapping seems more likely to me than the exhaust pipes vent openings causing a tire cut.
Gymmie
PRN????? oh you meant last week...ok..I was confused as tonight is MRN. :-)
I have NO idea if I will get to see the end of this race in the Detroit viewing area-I sure hope so, but if not, I guess I will watch hilites on the Nascar shows.
woohoo, Jr. Lucky Dog!
where can you pay to get mrn every week? this is my first time streaming online with the TV and it is SO MUCH MORE EXCITING.
red, if you hit on the side of the car, the steel exhaust pipe maintains its shape, and would extend out from the body panel that you just hit against something and knocked in. therefore, the exhaust would extent out, while they are rounded, if they havent been sanded down around the edges, the edge around that circle could be fairly sharp, and at the very least, sharp enough to cut a tire down.
my mrn station is found at www.wnpv1440.com. in fact, the transmitter is about 2 miles from here: it's the local radio station for this community.
good luck!
better for radio to be behind, then if you have dvr, you can pause the tv to be in-sync with the radio
Wouldn't it cost less money to have the tech garage in the Nascar NOW studio in Bristol, where the lights need to be on for the post-race show anyway? Don't think being in the infield is any advantage there.
I have to say DJ & AP handled that re-start pretty good....AP's "Whoaaaaaa"....of course JP had nothing to add....but DJ & Andy did well.
ok..I was afraid to download that Silverlight thing on my computer to listen to that Psk link...does that thing work ok? I hate sites that make you download special stuff to LISTEN live.
I was thinking to myself, did we really need a caution for Mikey's spin... But hey, if we have 3 more of those, Kenseth gets back on the lead lap.
anon@10:44 -
that's free live broadcast ...explained here earlier that delay is likely due to uplink/downlink satellite connection ...also check www.motorracingnetwork.com for MRN broadcast affiliates in your area
@david: copy that. now it makes sense. it was just the way the closed-captioning read combined with the odd angle that brewer forced the tire into at the tech center.
whether that is what happened right there with burton is beyond me to guess, it could have been a valve stem or something cut the tire down, just saying that it is possible.
the valve stems on these cars are metal though, not rubber like what is in a passenger car. also they stick in a bit so i really think right there the side panel of the 12 cut his tire right on the sidewall where it meets the tread.
Walter, thanks for the link. It works
amazingly JP has nothing to say and actually says it ...zzzzzzzz
By the way, anon in california, is the football game on the USC one? If it is, you might find the race on ESPN - sometimes they flip the network and cable slots in local markets.
Sophia, I'll say quietly...MRN apparently can't police live streaming quite enough. If you go to MRN one by one, you will find stations carrying the race online. I did, after Pocono was rained out. Found several.
JD -
haven't heard from you lately, did you call it a night? I'm having trouble staying away here ...MRN calling action on the track, while ESPN showing leader ...looking forward to F1 - Varsha, Hobbs, Matchett and Windsor (?) are informative and entertaining
I checked to see if you got the nascar.com online radio broadcast with TrackPass Scanner ($25 per year), but you don't. You have to buy TrackPass PitCommand ($65 per year). Sorry.
These guys are talking like the race is over....there's still 50 laps to go!
I thought I saw smoke from Vickers' car. Why are the announcers not saying a thing about that?
That was fun watching it there for a little bit. They showed racing.
Then it got back to the old way.
Nope. Just letting you guys exchange info. We have all developed a lot of knowledge over the last three years to get around the ESPN disaster.
Vickers' car has been smoking like that for about the last 50 or so laps
its the splitter hitting the track MV. watch though, Vickers' car falls off after 20 laps. Happened before too. At this rate they will be battling for 7th when this ends, 77 and 29 will be coming soon too.
@Sophia--no it was tonight he tweeted it after they did the Rusty tribute during GF racing
Thanks Glen
I seem to be running into problems with outdated music players on these mrn links? I will look at that later..don't like the new real player for reasons when i try to burn music disks...so afraid to download 'new stuff'..sometimes old is better.
but I hear what your saying & will keep that in mind.
a few years ago when MRN was on small AM stations, the racing stuff got bounced for H.S. Football, or basketball games...this FM station only carries country music or the cup races.
NASCAR should make their radio FREE online.
INDYraces give it free and the VIDEO online free...& not some animated thingie..the real cars! :-) Terrific.
tx again for the tip
Martin - I noticed the #24 has also been smoking tonight. That is where the pit reporters should do some investigating, but we got 0.
Sarcasm becomes him:
@dustinlong: #NASCAR .... 18 on radio: I'm glad I got my loosest set of tires at the end of the race. Good, good, real good.
Go Vickers! (Sorry, David.)
--KarenB
So JD, what changed? ESPN promoting truck race...
Sophia, don't download the first player. If you don't download, it gives you another option, so that's where I'm listening. Click on listen now over to right.
Would there really be that much of a swing for Kurt Busch not to make it? Considering how many S&Ps there's been?
i agree with anon regarding the tech garage...there is no reason ESPN should be transporting the tech garage to every track. there would be absolutely no difference between having the studio on wheels and having it back in Bristol.well, other than it would be a whole lot cheaper to keep it in Bristol and it would look exactly the same.
gymmie..oh, ok.
I need to go thru your NASCAR list..you got more contacts and Secret Agent 007 info than anybody I know. ;-)
I need a snack....or something to drink
@ Mike C, I commented about Vickers' car to Dan. He said it's an illusion. He noticed it on other cars too.
I just got the powerball numbers but the race in in a small bix with no sound.
aww nuts: just lost closed-captioning for some reason.
and, believe it or not, i have the lottery in one window and the other window is the race.
un-freakin'-believeable.
Nothing David, the problem was ESPN not promoting the Cup races on Fox and TNT during NASCAR Now and the Nationwide races.
SPEED and ESPN have always had a deal.
@MikeC - Kurt is only 105 points ahead of Vickers and 38th place is only 5 laps down, it could still happen.
Wow...JR 23rd....Sam Hornish 10th...whodathunkit.
