Live Blogging Sprint Cup Series In Richmond (7PM - FOX)
The weather is great, the gopher is gone and the lights are on. The Sprint Cup Series is running at night on a short track that lends itself to great racing.
Chris Myers leads the Emmy Award winning NASCAR on FOX team on the air at 7PM ET. Myers will be joined by Darrell Waltrip and Jeff Hammond from the Hollywood Hotel for a thirty minute pre-race show. The green flag flies at 7:44PM.
Mike Joy calls the action with Waltrip and Larry McReynolds from the TV booth. On pit road are Steve Byrnes, Matt Yocum, Krista Voda and Dick Berggren. Voda will not be at the truck race Sunday in Kansas. Instead, she will head back to Charlotte and host The Speed Report.
Richmond is a short track with lots of action. It's tough to go in-car live for fear of missing action on the track. The aerial shot of the facility is beautiful and it also works to show a fantastic perspective on restarts.
The RIR pit road is great for the famous triple-split effect used on the caution flag pitstops. With the incredible importance on pit road tonight, it will be important to clearly document the stops. ESPN made a big blunder on the final stops in the Nationwide Series race and never recovered.
It's going to be important for the TV team to keep the intensity level high. Unlike the relaxed style that FOX brought to Talladega, the short track in Richmond deserves excitement from the TV booth. That means Darrell Waltrip may have to scale back his extended comments and stories this week.
This post is going to serve to host your comments on the TV coverage of the Sprint Cup Series from Richmond, VA. To add your comment, just click on the comments button below. This is a family-friendly website, please keep that in mind when posting. Thanks for stopping by!

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 400 of 448 Newer› Newest»MV, a team like Sorenson could be using this as a test, like some others may be too. I can't believe and pray these aren't all teams just starting and parking with no intention to ever race...ever.
OK, when is Fox's LAST race? I can stop watching until then.
oh great, now we can watch the race from INSIDE some trailer
Man, this just stinks.
Hammond on full-screen again!!!
@Gina - That last commercial break was 2.5 min, plus the stupid Digger sponsor plugs.
FOX must have hired all the directors and other riff raff ESPN finally fired. What a hot mess
What was that Hammond deal?
"Half the field's been in"
What, really? Could have fooled me.
LOL @ Sophia! that is great suggestion.
Kyle Busch 7 second lead after stops
This is NOT a good race.
Mark your CALENDARS!! TNT STARTS June 6th for Pocono race.
If Mike Wells is still directing & allowed to do as good a job as previous years, there will be cupcakes for everybody on Twitter & here :-D
Are Cook, Bliss and Sorenson finally all out of the race. Thanks for keeping us informed, Fox!
P.S.: Cook is still only OFF according to the ticker.
Hammond while leaders pit. That hurt my brain.
tight shots, stuff flashing up to cover the Tv screen. What a mess.
I don't get this. The last time there were so many cars a lap (or more) down, it happened because of a caution during green flag stops. this sucks.
How many off total MV??
How convienient for the #48 ???
Debris caution as Johnson goes a lap down. I detect the horseshoe at work...
We have to see the debris this time
well that was a timely caution wasn't it?
Jimmie Johnson caution...
Kyle Busch just said the exact same thing too.
I don't mind a race like this once in awhile. Everyone keeps calling these IROC cars and an IROC series, its darn good to see someone figure it out and walk away once in awhile. Maybe I'm biased though? lol
Show us the "debris" NASCAR needed this one for JJ and the wavearound cars. Less than 10 on lead lap?
So do all the lapped down cars take the wave around?
so are they only going to show us the blimp shot when they are showing the dirctTV ad?
Can they get a tighter shot than that? Next step is zooming in on a contingency sticker.
Breakout the black helicopters
I'm sorry, but this is just awful. It's a short track-we, the TV viewers should be in "hog-heaven", but nope. Even tho it's been a runaway w/Shrub, THERE is racing all over the track-do we see it? NO!! I'm sick of multi-tasking for this. I will watch VL & NN to see the highlites & know what happened. btw, I have sirius & it's ONE HOUR & TWENTY MINUTES into the race & I FINALLY hear Jr on their site! Can anyone tell I AM ticked off?????
@JD - Only the #09, #32, #64 and #87 are out of the race. #46 is still listed as off, so he could be back out for more laps.
Kevin Conway is 6 laps down already. He's the laughing stock of the Sprint Cup Series this year.
Kyle Busch: "Man, this is a great rule for everyone. What does this mean, 28 cars on the lead lap?"
Rogers: -chuckle "Yeah, only 6 behind you"
BUT, Conway has the $$$$ and sponsor. He is a joke.
Under the old rule, they would have all started in front of him as being 'on the tail end of the lead lap'.
Stewart was really the luckiest guy in all this. He was about to go 2 laps down and is now on the lead lap...
I'm loving the racing for 35th-37th. I wish Fox would show that. Man, that's where it's at.
wow, that puts a bunch back on the lead lap with the wavearound rule.
It would be nice to see some racing though instead of what we've seen so far tonight.
Thanks MV. Don't you really hate to see how low this sport has sunk on TV? Even Mike Joy, a great guy, is a mess tonight.
THAT was a bogus NASCAR caution if there ever was one !
Why are they having such a hard time following a pack of cars.
looks like Harvick put on 4 tires didn't he?
MV, if you listen to Ol' DW every Friday on Speed he does nothing but gush over how GREAT Conway has done this year. DW will probably marvel over how great it is that he's in the top 35 when he and the pill sponsor get moved to their third car of the year (the #34) next week.
The wave around rule is still a joke by the way.
I bet crank it up just made all you smile.
Whaaaat? You didn't see the fake debris on the fake caution to keep JJ on the lead lap? Come on!
CrankItUp isn't for DW?
MV -- glad to know I wasn't imagining it -- it felt like forever and i went and got a drink in the kitchen while it was on.
thanks for the info.
Anon 8:59PM, think he is getting free product? Just sayin....
The best part of 'Crank it up' is that it's the only time DW shuts up.
I do not believe how awful tonights broadcast is. Its worse than last week!
A short track & they can't get it together? Heck if they looked out the window & described what they saw it would be better than this junk! What the heck are the idiots yapping on about!?! Theres a race going on!
Conway hasn't wrecked. That is about the best he has done.
WOW, talk about a gift!!!!!
These debris cautions are PATHETIC.
@JD - Mike Joy must be at his worst because his hands are tied and he's prohibited from doing "too good of a job" for the TV viewers. Whatever's up with the higher-ups at Fox, they have to grow up and give the good coverage back to the fans. That childish attitude has got to stop.
LOL -- JD, you are too funny!
oh look, debris!
Hey, a real one!
and here they come!
Kasey wants a pocket knife to cut his suit under caution
Nice job on that round of pit stops, at least.
It just seems to me that the tv telecast is boring tonight, too much Larry Mac and definitely too much Waltrip and not enoubh Mike Joy.
And now everyone that took one wave around gets to take another. Pretty soon even Conway will be back on the lead lap. The wave around is a joke!!!!
JD, tell me you didn't say what you just said about DW and Conway's sponsor! Lol
How is the cowd in the stands? Certainly not a sellout?
How is the cowd in the stands? Certainly not a sellout?
MartinVincent -- I wonder if David Hill still has his knickers in a twist (speaking of tight firesuits) because the fans were so openly critical of the gopher and his other lousy programming ideas.
Maybe he thinks that punishing the fans with this kind of terrible broadcasting is good for ratings?
Then again, maybe he just counts his money and doesn't give a rats patoot about NASCAR any more.
NHRA starting on ESPN2
Harvick livid, crew hung up on a wheel and lost a ton of ground.
"If your going to make a mistake, you gotta make a little one. You can't make a rookie mistake because you look like a bunch of baboons!"
LOL
CDH as long as KK doesn't want to slit his wrists under caution. I'd like to hear why 88 didn't take wavearound. Can a pit reporter report on that???
BE CAREFUL KASEY !
@JD - What good is it to get free product if the whole company is a monthly-billing scam?...
@Anon 8:59pm - Where have you heard that Conway will be moving to the #34? The way I see it, the 3 Front Row cars and Robby Gordon are the only 4 cars that are in jeopardy of dropping out of the top 35. The #34 is not much higher in points that the other 2 team cars are and the team can swap drivers between the #37 and #38 the day before the race if they want to.
Jr might have come in that caution before for tires because they were expecting a run rather than a short sprint then caution.
@Vicky - Twitter (specifically Bob Pockrass) said that Lance wanted Junior to come in and get adjustments and then race for the Lucky Dog.
Well will FOX play any of this great scanner traffic? Harvick / Kahne ?
2 tires = bad idea
FOX, can we get play-by-play instead of commentary?
These guys are just on their own agenda and it has little to do with what is actually happening.
Front Row and three cars will not last the entire year. That sponsorship extenzes only so far. LOL
NASCAR Officials now happy - 30 cars on lead lap - previously only 9.
Bevo
Wed Edition of YOUNG & RESTLESS on Soapnet right now (Y&R Marathon) :)
for now sticking with Joe & Barney & Co on MRN.
did anyone besides me get vertigo when they did that quick camera change a few minutes ago?
And why did they do that? Oh, it was for what they are now showing us in replay
After 40 minutes of babble MRN is finally back to calling the race.
David
HA! at Harvick's scanner..but can't blame the guy :)
@Anon 9:07pm - ExtenZe is Front Row's ONLY source of money, they'll do everything they have to do to keep Conway and ExtenZe on the track, however many laps down he'll drop before the end of the race.
Exactly what MV said. The YUM money is out of pocket stuff...
OK, that bumper shot of Kyle - didn't he sort of remind you of a who from whoville in that yellow firesuit
Correction: With the Doug Yates deal, maybe Ford is injecting some money into that team as well.
I think Harvick is going to be gone from RCR at the end of the year. He said in pre-race that wins can help solidify a deal, but it can also be a bargaining tool with other teams.
MV, no inside knowledge just guessing that they don't want the rookie to have to qualify on time at Darlington if the #38 falls out tonight and they would put him in the car with the biggest cushion so David and Travis can race past the 7 car and get all 3 Front Row cars back in the top 35.
@MV - What about YUM! Brands?
Did I tell you guys I have people from the UK and Europe complaining about the TV coverage?
They watch a split of the FOX feed and are very unhappy. Can't follow a daggone thing they are saying!
Anon 9:07 -- groan! but funny!
Lap 180 and they finally notice the tire smoke on the #18. It's only been there for a hundred laps.
JD - neither can we!
FOX - Junior didn't fall off the lead lap; he was already two laps down! Oy.
@Andrew - Bob Jenkins (owner of Front Row) owns a bunch of Long John Silver's, Taco Bell and A&W franchisee stores, so those decals are just self-promotion. I don't believe Yum is paying for sponsorship.
What is the Kasey update scanner peeps??
And FOX is trying to pass Harvick's scanner off as "happening now" rather than MRN and Twitter, which presented it to us half an hour ago.
Why follow a single car.
@MV - OH! Did not know that. It makes sense now that I think about it; if they do get YUM! funding you'd think they'd run better.
Boy, it is tough to pass tonight.
Heath Calhoun discussion on MRN. Anything, FOX?
scanner chatter is NOW sponsored by SPRINT? ARe you kidding me? I hate crass commercialization of sports. good gravy.
and it happened a few minutes ago..>(Turned the tv on during MRN break & another interview on radio...service man_-sheesh..GF interviews stink..no offense)
If they didn't have that splitter they could bang each other more to get around.
it's fun to race with someone you trust - and obviously they trust each other.
And DW, you would know that, how?
Is it just me, or did Harvick just pronounce "baboons" like "bufoons" (or "maroons"). I thought it was pronounced "bah-boon".
The race is so boring, we're going to argue semantics now! :)
Charlie said...
Why follow a single car.
because it's easy to do . . .
jd, no post-race comments from me, sorry. haven't watched enough of the race to be intelligent about it and frankly, i just can't care about fox broadcasting today. screw 'em.
@MV - I thought he DID say "buffoon"...
@Sophia - Sprint is commercializing everything under their brand. They have nothing to do with the radio communications, but since they're rebroadcasting it on their phones, they pass it off as theirs.
Same with the portable video toy at the track, I believe a company called "Kangaroo TV" is responsible for that, but the device is yellow and advertises "Sprint" on it.
I understood Harvick to say "buffoons" meaning the crew was acting like a bunch of clowns.
Kasey hasnt mentioned his suit for a while. I guess he's going to man up and get over it
buffoon, baboon, it's all muffled by the helmet! LOL
With all of these negative Fox comments get ready for the Fox PR hacks to bombard the post-race comments with praise about the fantastic coverage. Sirius 128 will be in full CYA mood for them too.
@Andrew - You're correct!
@David - It was you who quoted "baboons". When Fox replayed the radio transmission, I had that word in my head. :)
Tx MV
Just didn't realize FOX did that with scanner chatter..didn't see that during Dega race..other races watched VERY little of on the tv.
I thought Harvick said baboons or buffoons as in idiots? Whatever...I understand his frustration.
The smoke from Kylie's car comments are hilarious ...
He smokes all of the time ... Looks like this week his valve guides are looser ... so, there is some oil that's not getting burned off because he can't get on the throttle as soon as he normally does ...
MRN is on a delay from the TV.
FOX called the Busch/Burton/Robby Gordon battle like it was a Sunday picnic. MRN is calling it like there's 5 laps to go in the race.
There really is nothing left to say.
MV, Conway will always be in a locked in car, regardless the number.
The only thing that changes with that team is car numbers, not as if the drivers get in all new cars. Its exactly the same when PRISM swapped numbers for a few weeks with Blaney and McDowell.
Front Row is junk though.
WOW! Burton making this interesting!
MV, live it sounded like baboons.
I thought Kyle's smoke today looked to be coming more from the right front than the exhaust. I liken it to when the HMS cars had smoke whisping from them in 2007 early on in the COT development.
Probably rubbing the splitter ever so gently
What's with the '80s video-game graphics covering 2/3 of the screen to explain stuff???
Was just talking to the other half in the kitchen and had more fun doing that then watching this race.
You're kidding me! Showing that to illustrate tight? Did one of their first graders come up with that?
And Fox's transition to being 2007 ESPN is now complete. Tight graphic? Really? I can at least digest that in the Daytona 500 or something when a lot of average fans are watching, but the Richmond spring race? Come on.
Bevo, yeah we'll get lots of anon's posting all saying how wonderful the race broadcast was and I agree with you about the Sirius CYA. I realized last week when I went to turn it on thinking I'd catch qualifying on the drive home, how little I listen to Sirius 128.
I'm surprised people still call in to the shows -- why ask to be abused?
It sure would be nice if this network cared about providing good coverage. Instead it's a bunch of self promotion babble and seeing how many "You're watching NASCAR on Fox" driver video drops they can squeeze in during a 4 hour broadcast. GET OVER YOURSELVES and start broadcasting the show instead of trying to be the show!
Kyle has a tire going down, coming in under green
Saying it feels like the left rear has gone down
David - Kylie's smoking issues are more evident tonight because he's tight in the center ... So, he can't get the same power off the corner and there's extra unburned fuel ... and the temps/rpms aren't as high, so unburned oil (blue smoke) ...
@Anon 9:33pm - GET OVER YOURSELVES and start broadcasting the show instead of trying to be the show!
That's what I've been saying for years. Myers, Hammond, D.W. and Larry Mac think they're the stars of this weekly show. No wonder Mike Joy is giving up on good coverage!
I bet Mike Joy has the Charlotte race circled on his calendar.
Done with FOX for the season.
Tia, I know that but if you recall the Hendrick cars a few years back they had a similar smoke which was coming under the wheelwells or splitter. I figured Kyle might be having that problem tonight some too. He has been quite tight in the center tonight though and it has only gotten worse
MartinVincent & Anon -- that's what we've ALL been saying since JD was kind enough to start his blog.
GINA
Don't even get me started on the Sirius channel. All shows and hosts are pro NASCAR and do not want to hear anything negative. Chocolate Myers and Benjamin are the absolute worst.
@Gina- Agree totally about Sirius. I might listen to 4 or 5 hours a week now and that's usually when Buddy is on. Used to listen to Speedway every day but I hardly listen anymore. Everyone took the company line warning to heart last season.
And don't even get me started on Pistone...
I miss The Driver's Seat. Kernan was great on there with Buddy.
I remember after Kernan left, he got into it on the SIRIUS board with a couple of the MRN guys like Moody and such.
Heard me on Sirius lately? Just sayin....
@Gina & bevo - Everybody's getting a fat paycheck for being NASCAR's "yes men". Doesn't make for very objective commentary. I miss the "Pit Bulls" TV show Speed had a few years ago. Never was a fan of Mulhern, but that show told it like it was.
If cars are going a lap down that must mean there is passing going on. Be nice to see that.
Oh yes - there is definately a company line (DO NOT CROSS) at Sirius 128. Once David Poole passed that was it. All company men. JD are you still on there sometimes? Or is your anti TV stance frowned upon?
Bevo and Anon -- yeah it is a real shame that they lost the ability to be impartial on sirius. I don't care for Pistone's point of view either and I never read anything he writes since a couple of years ago, he really teed me off with a hatchet job.
funny isn't it, the daily sirius radio shows are a lot like the Fox broadcasts -- no added value.
Well that answers it - JD's views are not welcome. Ya gotta be a NASCAR cheerleader.
Long gone!
Pistone is employed by ISC as is Bagley, Moody and others.
All these rapid cuts and dire close-up shots are just awful. I usually don't notice this; it seems like it must be a lot worse than usual.
JD, they couldn't handle the truth!
Is Truex's rock the same one he picked up on the moon, with gravity added?... Geez, I'm bored!
Conway going another lap down as we come back from commercial. Gilliland might be a hero tonight and kick Robby Gordon back out of the top 35.
oh and here we go with the bracket junk again.
Oops! Looks like Gilliland will kick Conway out of the top 35.
JD - how about a column this week on Sirius?
how to get around showing a race - do a bracket thing.
Just what we needed - a make-believe bracket update.... NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I haven't even been able to watch Hotpass these last 3 weeks because each channel is just following these stupid imaginary matchups too.
How long before TNT and (I can't belive I'm gonna say it...) ESPN?
Those guys like Moody and bagley do a very good job calling the races, but once they started being so rude to the fans calling in, that was the end of it for me.
I see no reason to listen to someone be condescending to a caller just because the fan has a different point of view.
You notice that DW and Larry Mac write all these articles on Foxsports, too, but never respond to any e-mails.
They all live in the la la land that NASCAR insists upon.
Wow, look, a pass shown on TV
Good grief wedding & birth announcements - yet no play by play.
Between Tampa electrics power outages (2 during race so far) Brighthouse w/HD problems & this "race coverage" I give up.
Anon -- Sophia says June 6 is when TNT takes over for the first Pocono race. I can't wait.
They just move from one junk deal to the other with chit chat in between.
David Poole was the best. A tell it like it is guy. He didn't care what NASCAR thought. Mulhern was good too but kinda weird. Monte Dutton is ok but not too controversial. The print media is done.
@Gina - At least we still have Dave DeSpain to take callers seriously on Wind Tunnel. I don't think his paycheck comes from of a Daytona Beach bank account.
Gina, of course they weren't going to miss THAT pass. MAJOR BRACKET IMPLICATIONS! Ugh......
Gina, at times some of the callers are so out of left field that I can't blame them for doing what they do. That being said, it's why I like Buddy Baker because he will listen to ANY caller with ANY theory. It's just a shame he is relegated to late night. He and LaJoie were great in the daytime with Kernan. That's really where I thought Ricky Craven took off if you ask me. JD, recall any of the times he was on that show? He did awesome.
If any of the clowns on TV or radio told the truth then they'd be reprimanded asap. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Mulhern was the "tabloid columnist" of NASCAR. Write whatever crosses your mind and wait for someone to confirm or deny it.
The issue is that Sirius 128 is not really Sirius. It's a mix of MRN, ISC, freelance and Sirius employees.
Many of them feel that in these tight economic times, the right thing to do is support the sport through positive happy talk.
That is their right and they have the control of the airwaves. Unfortunately, most agendas like that involving limited messages get stale very quickly.
It's just a shame that such a good platform for the sport has been twisted into a NASCAR PR exercise.
MartinVincent - I agree about Despain, but sometimes he's too caustic for me.
David - sure I get what you mean on some of the callers. I've shaken my head plenty of times listening to them, too, but the radio personalities on sirius should also remember that it is the fans listening and calling in who are the reason they exist.
JD - MRN just pulled your favorite "Let's give a call to ... " LOL
True MV. Very true. And I have gotten livid at Moody and others when I know that the caller calling has a point that they didn't want to see or admit.
But now they plug in so many interviews and such last I tuned in, it's hard to care much. Gaughn and Crawford as well as Evernham are good ones. Ray will tell it like it is much like his battle with Gillete...
@JD- Remember my "Hell froze over" message a couple of months ago when you were on the phone? Nearly fell out of my car when I heard you were going to be on :)
Kernan was great and he was helping Buddy write another book before Poole started working with him on it.
Speedway was the best thing on Sirius before the NASCAR deal when they had IPL, NHRA Modified, F1 talk in addition to the stock car stuff.
Its a shame there showing this race like this.
Lets say you go to a local track on Saturdays and you are trying to get the other half to go. They don't have the time. So you come up with the idea of just sitting in front of the Tv on a Saturday night and see if they like watching a race. You figure there is a Sprint race on a short track and the other half should love it. You tell them to let you know after watching this race if they would like to go to a local race.
What do you think the answer would be.
Even more videos of drivers screaming the word "Fox" into microphones in place of green flag racing.... Again the ego-maniacs at Fox making themselves the show instead of broadcasting the show.
OK, the broadcast window for FOX is 11PM ET. Looks like that will not be a problem, but one red flag could change all that.
Last race FOX jumped over to SPEED for more post-race with no warning and only one mention from Chris Myers before they did it.
We will have to keep an eye out for the post-race stuff tonight.
As always, JD, you have hit the nail squarely on the head.
Fox has become barely watchable and NASCAR 128 bores me to death, too.
MartinVincent -- yeah, mulhern's little weird 5 sentence postings have made me quit reading him too. No substance = no value.
Boy can you tell we are not enjoying the race broadcast?
JD - have you ever been "called to the trailer" or contacted by NASCAR suits?
Is there anyone out on the track other than HMS / RCR / JGR ??
This really annoys the cheese outta me ...
MRN is pulling the SAME crap, too ...
Face it...most of the teams are now owned by only 4 owners. Hard NOT to mention just those guys....
Well MRN moved everything and everybody to Concord, NC. They built a new studio where all the Sirius shows come from. Thus - MRN and Sirius are in bed together on this. What do you expect ?
So I am bothered, NASCAR threw 2 rather un-needed debris cautions 150 laps ago when Kyle Busch was dominating by 7 seconds. Now he is 4th 7 seconds back. Boy think of the potential duel we would have had they let the race play itself out...
Those cautions REALLY changed the entire dynamic of this race.
No, I have a great relationship with the NASCAR PR guys. I do the teleconferences and get all the updates.
The TV network guys are also great. SPEED has been tremendous this season as they are going through all kinds of changes on the air and in management.
ESPN is very formal and polite, TNT is funny and the FOX guys are nice.
After I said FOX should monitor Twitter and help out the TV booth, they emailed me and asked what the were missing!
It's a small world.
@Gina - When Mulhern still had a job in the print media, his "news stories" would show up on Jayski and, 9 times out of 10, I could tell it was the product of his overactive imagination even before I got to the bottom of the paragraph.
Annon, and the only show that is different is the Late Shift which Baker is in Atlanta and Hayden is in Concord. I haven't heard too much of it lately but I imagine it's probably the most freelance show left out there.
I was pretty hurt when TSL went off the air. That was pretty good too. The "special" Daytona show this year was just too produced which sucked.
I'm really going to make a point of it to try and catch Biffle's show on his site more often
David, NASCAR's need to manipulate races is one of the reasons why people who don't follow racing can't take it seriously.
I'm sure they will find a way to bunch up the field for a doublefile restart or GWC at the end so we have an "exciting" finish.
Gag me with a spoon.
I LOVE Dave Despain!! never too caustic for me because he is a man of his own thoughts, and opinions. And dry humor!
Which is why I love him and ALSO why he probably only gets a ONE HOUR show a week on SPEED!?! Not the least bit PC either.
And Robin Miller's pilot sits on a shelf gathering dust. :-(
Despain/s 30 minutes WT extra online is GREAT but wish EVERYBODY could see it or hear it and it's no podcast..not even just an audio version which is bogus.
Glad I never turned the tv back on...tried to cut back reading Twitter and here too.
The USELESS camera shots were dreadful but I do miss hearing the guys on pit road..but MRN is allowed to give more info even if the guys are forced to do INTERVIEWS over GF racing like all the networks do now.
oops...."they were missing" And that was tonight!
and we are seeing passes in replay. why not in real time?
Live Tv, Single shots. Replays - passing.
Hey Erica Enders is back in a Pro Stock car. Qualified 14th.
Sorry for going off-topic
Whats more fun. Watching a race on Fox or counting the dots on a ceiling tile.
Bevo, she has been in a couple other races this year too.
I really think the NHRA has the best blueprint of how to do diversity. Shame the economic climate is what it is otherwise it would be even better!
Charlie -- counting the dots! hands down.
@Charlie - Do you not have grass growing or paint drying?
can't do a commercial now
Is there a race or just commercials? The race is getting boring because of the commercials.
@David- I haven't kept up on Pro Stock this year much. I really have my doubts if the NHRA can make it another year under their present management/ownership situation.
When this blog count ever dips below 400 then NASCAR is done. When nobody complains, nobody is watching.
Commercials right after the stops then?...
Fox has thrown in the towel on pit stops
Bevo, haven't been keeping up on that front but I hope they can keep it together. That deal at Firebird this year really was an unneeded black eye for them. They can have something quite special if they can find someone to hone it.
Well Elliott got the call...
Oh I'm sure there will be more commercials before the end of the race.
we haven't gotten to 20 to go yet.
Anon -- you are probably right, but i watch with the remote and switch channels whenever they go to commercial
@Anno. When the post are down it is a good race.
Sadler's stuck, gonna be a long caution. Time for commercials.
Wow - JD hasn't had to use the censor button tonight.
you know, Charlie, I hadn't thought about that. When it's a good race broadcast, we're watching not typing.
Very true - low number of posts = engaged TV viewere and a good race. Many posts = boredom
Kyle Busch coming in for tires when pit road opens.
Darlington! Shame they don't have a title sponsor though.
Gina is holding her breath big time right now
Coverage is so bad, even the "trolls" are not wasting their time on it! :)
The post are slowing down because this is a bad broadcast all the way around and people are bored. You can only say this Tv show is bad so many times.
@David - They do. It's the Showtime Southern 500.
