Checked ESPN about 2:00 and the first words out of Brent Mushbagger's mouth in essence were "don't know, don't care" when he said NASCAR came to Indy "sometime in the 1990's." AHH the quality of ESPN NOW.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2080132098367510832.post-20087778583992934652007-07-29T16:22:00.000-04:002007-07-29T16:22:00.000-04:00A very smart insider type person has told me that ...A very smart insider type person has told me that ESPN would never let Speed have a NASCAR show on while ESPN had one on. Thank goodness for an attempt at professionalism that does not automatically presume that every listener enjoys the brainless, politically insensitive Spencer and the pathetically hyper-active Wallace. Poor John Roberts is often relegated to being a babysitter.

ESPN has to be a better offering and I am grateful to have the opportunity to choose what I will watch.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2080132098367510832.post-64852953378653303692007-07-29T01:38:00.000-04:002007-07-29T01:38:00.000-04:00Speed. What has ESPN done so far to make anyone believe they are capable of putting on a good pre-race show?

ESPN is betting that as the "new kids in town" they will bring the many viewers without digital cable directly to Countdown. Many cable systems require a digital upgrade to view SPEED, where ESPN is considered part of most "basic cable" packages.
All the more reason to go with DirecTV.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
