They took time to tell some of their story and why they thought that driver would do well. I thought it was a great move because without the up and comers, the series would only last so long. This is particularly needful in the Truck series which has leaned on the same group of drivers for many years now.

I'm also a big fan of the victory lane burnout! Unsafe but FUN!

The last lap thing is awful, I hate peering into the corners of my tv for a flash of color to guess where a driver finished.

BillBill Ricehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05331418114008617236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2080132098367510832.post-46970722768833124512007-05-20T22:08:00.000-04:002007-05-20T22:08:00.000-04:00first time this year the trucks did not show a fin...first time this year the trucks did not show a finish line shot for at least the top 10..except FOX at martinsville. FOX doesn't like to show all the drivers cross the line. they must think shots of the crew reacting is cool! maybe a different crew produced / directed this show?
for the most part a great show on SPEED as usual with the Trucks. From top to bottom the truck races are great...you usually don't miss much when watching a SPEED truck show. they cover lots of stories...RACING STORIES!!!!! great job by the SPEED truck team..except the finish. It used to be standard procedure to show every last car as they went over the start/finish line...no matter how long it took! One reason I listen to the radio with the television muted...to get real information!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2080132098367510832.post-420368337809144282007-05-19T07:24:00.000-04:002007-05-19T07:24:00.000-04:00I just don't get it...keep the camera on the finis...I just don't get it...keep the camera on the finish line and let us watch all the vrooms finish the race, simple isn't so simple I guess!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2080132098367510832.post-6981546412865807222007-05-19T02:42:00.000-04:002007-05-19T02:42:00.000-04:00The failure to show any other finishers is even mo...The failure to show any other finishers is even more glaring after the announcers brag all night (rightfully so) about how much great racing for position is going on all throughout the field.

My impression of the booth/director:

"They raced like crazy three-wide for lap after lap for that 8th place spot -- it was absolutely wild. That's what the Truck Series is all about... But we won't bother to show you how that battle ended."

Pitiful!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
