Rusty, of course, had to throw in something about him, letting Stephen drive the "66" he made famous. This was in reference to JR strugglig with the idea of drving the "3". All the reporters, especially Marty, Angelique and Shannon were excellent with interesting perspectives. Marty was great at painting the picture prior to the news conference where JR spoke to some reporters he is close to. Seemed very emotional on all sides and Marty said all the reporters supported JR. The good news there was less of Erik, mostly going from reporter to reporter which limited is inance comments.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2080132098367510832.post-61043993609150465082007-05-11T09:34:00.000-04:002007-05-11T09:34:00.000-04:00Why put the program on at the "tail" end? All part of ESPN's exciting lead-in coverage to MLS Soccer Night in America. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2080132098367510832.post-26867148884516363572007-05-11T09:20:00.000-04:002007-05-11T09:20:00.000-04:00What were they afraid to pre-empt at 7:00? I caught the tail end of the Marty Smith interview...which made me mad because Smith is the only thing that makes this show salvageable.

What you missed was a map of the U.S. charting the opinions of the people of the U.S. on Junior leaving. Can you believe they made it a red state/blue state map like they do during political elections? In case you missed it, it appears that Wyoming is the only state where people think Junior made the wrong move. Un-freaking-believable.

Not only did NASCAR Now drop the ball on this, but so did the ESPN website. Here we are with the biggest news story of the day--probably the year in terms of NASCAR and when you went to the main ESPN site, the Junior story was a smaller red box with breaking news above it. Not the big main story picture on the main page of the site, but a smaller box to the center of the page.

I'll say it again....I'm not looking forward to ESPN taking over the reins on coverage this summer.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2080132098367510832.post-26653347257620715562007-05-11T06:09:00.000-04:002007-05-11T06:09:00.000-04:00I was upset when I tuned in to watch NN and found ...I was upset when I tuned in to watch NN and found that I had missed taping the first 30 minutes...NN must stop being a moving target.TalkGeorgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03662515147728398699noreply@blogger.com
