I don't care if you can't use other online elements, with this format we miss very few drivers AND THAT IS BETTER.
Anon @ 12:18 PM I AM TALKING TO YOU!!!

If it was live we would miss many more drivers due to commercials and many more people would complain. At the end of Thursday's show, Nicole Manske mentioned that the next episode would be on Sunday morning with Dale Jarrett and Andy Petree.

Just thought I would point out that it appears this was planned. Strange that the ESPN2 tv schedules weren't updated.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2080132098367510832.post-42451567394446045892008-04-26T12:41:00.000-04:002008-04-26T12:41:00.000-04:00If tape delay means we see more cars then that's o...If tape delay means we see more cars then that's ok by me. This taped delayed qualifying is horrible. It screws up the viewer's ability to complement the broadcast with information from other sources, such as NASCAR.com. Whatever moron who decided to show qualifying like this must not know about the internet.

Show everything live, or if TV insists on making room for commercial breaks, NASCAR needs to delay the action on the track.

Tape delaying sporting events in this day and age is inexcusible. Pathetic.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2080132098367510832.post-33929997433305577422008-04-26T12:07:00.000-04:002008-04-26T12:07:00.000-04:00Anon 11:48AM,I will be putting this information to...Anon 11:48AM,

I will be putting this information together in a new post shortly and explaining the TV schedules for Sunday.

JDDaly Planet Editorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13834588435004023666noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2080132098367510832.post-13187954794792238482008-04-26T11:48:00.000-04:002008-04-26T11:48:00.000-04:00JD: FOX has changed their pre-show for Sunday. Green flag is scheduled for 2:21 ET. Looks like FOX is doing one of those extralong preshows like the almost 90 minute one from Las Vegas.

But I'm seeing conflicting info about what that change does to RaceDay on SPEED, which was originally scheduled for 11:30 -1:30 ET. The RaceDay time has now changed on some online TV schedules (like Zap2it) to air from 11-1 ET, instead of 11:30 to 1:30. However on my cable schedule and SPEED.com it still says Raceday from 11:30-1:30.

Any idea from your SPEED contacts if the RaceDay time is really changing to 11-1? And if so, is RaceDay contractually forbidden to run at the same time as the FOX broadcast? I think RaceDay made a habit of overlapping the preshows on ABC and TNT by half an hour last year, but not FOX. Thanks.

One other note: Tradin' Paint is only airing one time this weekend, at 11 PM ET tonight. No repeat tomorrow. I think they should air this show at least twice a weekend but they often don't. NASCAR Performance gets two airings, at 10:30 PM and 10:30 AM Sunday.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2080132098367510832.post-72538186539485436652008-04-26T10:27:00.000-04:002008-04-26T10:27:00.000-04:00Weather could definitely be an issue today, especi...Weather could definitely be an issue today, especially with the tight schedule.
