And then in Nationwide qualifying we saw the dramatic story of Denny Hamlin making a huge mistake in going for the pole on lap 1 in a go-or-go-home car (instead of running a safe lap and going for the pole on lap 2 after he was locked in) and ending up crashing and missing the show in a fully-sponsored Gibbs car that could have easily won tonight's race.<BR/><BR/>I'm definitely thankful that Speed was there for us today and I hope this served as a lesson to why all practice and qualifying sessions are important. You never know what kind of compelling storylines are going to develop.
