ReplyDeleteUnless something happened between Wind Tunnel and your post, we were told on WT the guest on INC would be Waltrip, Reutimann and Vickers?
Is your info more recent? I hope so because I REALLY wanted to hear Schrader's response to his wreck.
:-)

ReplyDeleteI think I know what Schrader will say - that there's still other drivers out there that aren't running for the championship but for the top 35 in points!

I ment to say Waltrip, Reutimann and Vickers are the hosts.
Bummer..Wind Tunnel was correct.
ReplyDeleteIt would've been more fun with Biffle and Schrader. I knew it would be about the Reutimann announcement.
I mean I like Mikey and David but wanted to hear from the horses mouth.
Dave ANNOUNCED the line up on his show last night.

ReplyDeleteAnyone know the scoop on Biffle?
ReplyDeleteDespain said at tehe opening of the show that both Biffle and Schrader has other obligations.
ReplyDeleteI am going to just talk about the show...sheesh.
ReplyDeleteI thought Jeff Burton was hilarious trying to explain his quick pull on the fender yesterday. :-)
I wasn't watching NASCAR years ago but remember seeing the video of sterling getting out of his car to pull out a fender during a red flag race. no, no, no.
:-)
Don't know the scoop on Biffle but wished he were on the show! Think he is keeping a low profile? I heard a sound bite on part of NNow that he claimed he would 'do donuts of folks wanted'..but some claim he had no gasoline. It's a shame he isn't facing the music.
there's Sterling video! LOL
Wow they never said anything about why Biffle isn't there. Or Kenny for that matter.
ReplyDeleteWe should not be starting rumors about Mikey.
ReplyDeleteOk guess I missed that about Biffle & Schrader's excuse for not being on the show. I wanted to hear about Schrader's wreck.
ReplyDeleteMan, this is a tough line-up. They lost the controversial winner of the race and the driver involved in a key accident.
ReplyDeleteAt least MW is there or it would be a very different looking panel.
well we now know where biffle is.
ReplyDeleteMikey just stated that it's Biffle's brother-in-law's surprise birthday party.
ReplyDeleteThat's why he isn't there.
I think Mikey forgot his socks...
ReplyDeleteMikey forgets his socks often
ReplyDeleteYup, tough line up indeed John. I mean after the race folks can't stop talking about, THIS could've been the highest rated INC if all had been there to give their two pennies.
ReplyDeleteKind of anti climactic.
Mikey thinks the "Miami Vice" look is still hip!
:-) I knew some folks who met him in person and says he is TALL and handsome and nice as hell to fans. She did not even LIKE him but said there was no denying him in person.
That is a great story. It if was the old INC, they would have given Greg a video cam! That would be a fun trip.
ReplyDeleteReut is being left in the dust...he needs to get with the program.
ReplyDeleteSee Greg is lying about running out of gasoline? LOL..come on!
ReplyDeleteReut is doing better and Mikey is somewhat quiet (for Mikey). Maybe Mikey and Schrader together causes Mikey to get carried away
ReplyDeleteI think the broadcast is good today. I want to see what they say about Tony's incident.
ReplyDeleteWho is the guy on the left and what have they done with Vickers? Compared to last year, Brian is a different person...and the most informative panelist they've had in a long time. Great job!
ReplyDeleteAllan
PS-Speed, PLEASE keep this show! Whether it's informative or just plain silly, it's the longest and most candid view of the drivers we get all week!
I have always liked Vickers, he is extremely intelligent and sometimes an INC will let that show thru. I can remember a few past shows where it has happened he's actually taught me a few things.
ReplyDeleteI SO AGREE Mr. Wells.
ReplyDeleteAnd I gotta be honest..when Vickers first came on he was Mr. No personality...like a water cooler in the room.
Late last year, he really perked up and spoke up a lot more and has improved greatly.
I also hope SPEED keeps this show on the air...I LOVE IT!!
I don't care what the grumpetta's say.
That was funny they turned off the lights! LMAO
Anyone have audio problems (levels) other then me?
ReplyDeleteI hear Dave Despain just fine, but the drivers sound like they are talking from across the room. Then the audio jumps way up and they sound like they are shouting.
Also I'm sending 5 pack of dress socks to MWR tomorrow. He looks like an idiot without socks on.
The show as per usual had ZERO energy or excitement to it. Paint drying would be kind.
I love MW but on the show he comes across as a smug know it all. Total opposite of how he is in person.
I disagree I want to hear the drivers discuss a race and that is what I got. great show.
ReplyDeleteI like INC and I think Brian Vickers is doing much better this year. I think Kenny & Mikey mix it up and when one is gone the other one is quiet. Reut had a good explanation for the fuel pick up. They need the show to be longer to have more details on the Busch & truck series races.
ReplyDeleteClassic Mikey moment: "Biffle isn't here because his brother-in-law ... what time is it?"
ReplyDeleteHe had a reason for asking, but that was the his "look, a shiny object" attention span in a nutshell.
Vickers wasn't even IN the Cup race on Sunday ... He DNQ'd like his teammate Allmendinger as they were both too slow ... Vickers did run the Busch race, but the weather & track conditions were completely different ... Vickers watched the race like us - sitting on our respective couches/chairs at home.
ReplyDeleteThere was something that Dave said towards the beginning of the show that gave away the fact that he does NOT watch the races ...
So far this year, INC has had a horrible record of having the hosts that are involved in the big on-track stories on the show following the race ...
John -- The Speed website isn't very accurate on anything it has in regards to schedules (Look at the schedule for "Trackside" as it lists the guests from Homestead) ...
Where was the video from Mikey's in-car camera that showed him nosing in between Schrader and Jimmie when there was NOT enough room for a 3rd car to fit in there ... It also showed Mikey hitting Jimmie's left rear quarter panel with his right front as well as Mikey wiggling & Schrader peeling off (spinning out) of Mikey's left side ...
The biggest complaint that I have about INC is that they do NOT show the footage that NVL shows ... which in some cases convicts or acquits certain drivers ... Not showing Mikey's in-car camera made it look like he was NOT at fault in "the Big One" ... Also, they should've showed the head-on footage from that restart so that you could see the storm was brewing & that Mikey / Schrader / Montoya would most likely be involved ...
IF Speed was smart ... They'd make the show be 90 minutes again ... They could do that for next week's show as there will most likely be a lot of smash'em ups and they would have time for the Craftsman Truck race ... Heck, they could even talk about how the ARCA race compared to the Truck & Cup races in the number of wrecks / damaged cars ... The longer show would give them time to bring back the "Hot Seat" guest as well more detailed reviews of all 3 series ...
John, I know this isn't germane to the topic at hand, but I have a question that might impact a number of Nascar fans.
ReplyDeleteHow in the heck are we able to rely on Tivo, DVR's and video tape recorders when we cannot rely on ESPN/ABC to follow their own broadcast schedule? Because of other commitments, I have to Tivo a lot of Nascar coverage and shows. I know I can rely on Raceday, Nascar Performance, Tradin' Paint and Trackside to be on when they're supposed to be, but that's about it. Yesterday I had the one hour Nascar Now scheduled for recording, but it was shown an hour earlier than indicated by Direct TV. So obviously, I didn't get it recorded. I also Tivo the races, basically so I can zip through the stupidity of ESPN/ABC, but when they change channels halfway through a race, there goes the recording. You never, ever see Fox or CBS interrupt football games that run overtime---they simply adjust their schedules and the shows following the game are shown a little later than normal. So what if 60 Minutes starts at 6:30 instead of 6? But heaven forbid ABC misses their news broadcast or has to move Home Makeover back by 45 minutes or so. And don't get me started on the fact that a goodly number of Nascar fans don't have cable and they were unable to watch the finish of the race because they switched to ESPN2. When is Nascar, and more importantly their sponsors, going to start protesting that they aren't getting what they paid for, namely their products on network TV instead of cable? I cannot believe that some powers-that-be aren't up in arms over lost coverage.
