In-Progress At ORP: Craftsman Trucks On SPEED
Krista Voda leads the NCTS gang from SPEED into the always exciting short-track action from O'Reill Raceway Park. Located on the other side of the Indy area, this historic bullring has been the scene of some tough and hard racing. Exactly the kind that the NCTS likes a lot.
Voda handles the pre-race show at 7:30PM with Ray Dunlap and Adam Alexander as her reporters. Rick Allen, Phil Parsons and Michael Waltrip are up next at 8PM to call the racing action.
This post will serve to host your comments about the TV coverage of the NCTS on SPEED from ORP. To add your opinion, just click on the COMMENTS button below and follow the easy instructions. The rules for posting are located on the right side of the main page. Thanks for stopping by.
WTF was with the mike for the adorable girl who sang the anthem?? That was just sad...and I can't keep watching, because of MW-he just grates on my last friggin' nerve.
ReplyDeleteApparently Speed put the stupid guy back in charge of the ticker. Under green, we get to see manufacturer, start position, top time and top speed, just as often as we do time interval. Whoever made this decision at Speeed should be left go so they can pursue employment more in line with their talents. Look at it this way -- Speed's "loss" could be McDonald's gain!
ReplyDeleteYes that was a shame about the microphone problems :(.
ReplyDeleteWe automatically mute the national anthem just to save our ears most races. Broadcast team is doing a good job - but Allen/Parsons could do it by themselves.
ReplyDeleteThis time around it wasn't the singing that was the problem...just the microphone/sound system itself :(
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the coverage. Good racing on a short track.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations JohnnyB :)
ReplyDeleteWoo Johnny I'm so proud of you.
ReplyDeleteGuess they did not pay the satellite bill on time. Cut-off a couple of minutes early and no chance for a close from one of the biggest Truck races of the season.
ReplyDeleteBummer.

Good racin tonight. I agree Mikey was not a help tonight. The ticker dude needs to find work elsewhere, might I suggest the signage run by Hillsborough county?
ReplyDeleteYes that was a shame at the end there :(. So odd to just "cut off" the end prmos like that....
ReplyDeleteThis wasn't one of Speeds best Truck races, several missed restarts, more than usual in-car shots, and just showing the leaders when good side by side racing back in the pack was going on.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it was because it is such a small track, but I've seen better from these guys in the past.
Still, the Truck Series produces some very exciting races.

WOW! what IS the deal with SPEEDS plethora of technical glitches this year??????????
ReplyDeleteWTH happened to the end of the race?? I watched it on and off and taped the end...some freeze frame of a helicopter, the SPEED LOGO, no sound then some other show.
CRIPES! This happens almost every week anymore.
Oh, and it WAS VERY PITIFUL the microphone for the little 10 year old girl cut in and out during the ANTHEM. SHEESH..could they not have said something from the booth..did anybody hear the issue??
Man, I think I have reached my NASCAR fill for the season as even the truck race did not hold my attention tonight...and the last few laps were all I needed..JB st and Hornaday second.
I hope I remember NP at 1pm tomorrow. THAT SHOW NEEDS to be on weekly, same time. Deserves it's own slot!
Thanks for the details, JD.
Again, I feel bad for that little girl..from what I could hear she had a good voice. I am with Pammmmh. WTF was with the mic??
:-)
Thought I could watch the truck race last night,(no mikie)but he
ReplyDeleteshowed up.Baseball games were great last night.
Tks.JD Ron Il.
Shame on NHRA,when Lex Dudas was managing the track, you would NEVER have seen a torn and tattered American Flag flying over the track like we saw last night!
