Ponytail Express Derailed Again

Kyle Petty told Twitter users that some problems happened on his journey from North Carolina to Loudon, NH for TNT and SPEED. Here are some messages from Wednesday:

Today has been "one of those days. Started later than I wanted to this am. Saw a Couple that follow on Twitter. Stopped to talk...

As we were talking my bike ROLLED down a hill into a ditch on the side of I-81. I couldn't get out. called 911, 2 State Patrolman came...

The couple that I stopped for and the Patrolmen helped push it out. Back on the road. Stopped for fuel and as i was leaving...

The clutch started slipping. Going to Dealership in Harrisburg FIRST thing to see if they can fix it. Nursed it as far as i could tonight...

Here is the final update from 7:40AM on Thursday:

On my way to the Harley Dealership. Need to be there when they open so if there' a prob i can go to plan B, don't know what that is yet...

Good luck to Kyle and Rutledge on their journey to Loudon. We will keep TDP readers updated on his progress as details become available.

  6. 10-4 Dot.

Work nights, will catch up later.

I just think that this is a good and or just another way to promote the sport.

Love the way TNT is promoting the (few) races they have.

OT, JD, noticed that the New York Yankees baseball team might be using the internet to broadcast their games with the YES network. HELLO, nascar are you listening?

  7. In all honesty, my 10 and 5 year old kids would stop and watch the Digger cartoon every time they happened to walk by the TV and happen to catch digger. Once, I fast forwarded through it and I felt kind of bad about not letting them watch it. Pre-race cartoon is fine by me. But keep the toons off the track.

  8. James I think you wanted the OTHER column with the cartoon remarks. :)

I have been following Kyle for weeks. Fun follow on Twitter. Hope things get better for the rest of the trip.

Hope they have cool drinks. Hot and muggy for most of us for the next few days.

  10. As an past flat tracker I love the sound of a Harley..The XR750 comes to mind, which buy the way, they never did a street version of!My point is,If Kyle wants to make It to all of these Races on his Harley,He needs to throw Rutledge out of the side car,and replace him with a large tool box..Plus!Id bet dollars to donuts the tool box will have a better personality!!

  12. @montgomerylee and @austinpetty are having a contest to get to 1000 followers first. So if you aren't following them do so.

Regardless of who wins they're both donating $145 to camp (1 because Adam and Kyle are #1 in their lives and of course Adam's number) and folks tweeted that they'd match it as well :)
