Live Blogging The Sprint Cup Series Race From Richmond On Fox
The umbrellas came out around 5:30PM just as the track was beginning to dry from an earlier shower. The weather radar is showing a group of storms over Richmond, but there is a break in the weather after that line.
The NASCAR on Fox team may be facing a very long night of racing and possibly a delay in the event until Monday.
Chris Myers is up first from the Hollywood Hotel at 7PM. He will be joined by Darrell Waltrip and Jeff Hammond. Look for Talladega aftermath, weather forecasts and a review of the Kyle vs. Junior scenario from last season.
Waltrip moves up and joins Mike Joy and Larry McReynolds if and when the race begins. Joy did monster duty for SPEED on Friday and has to be commended for his performance.
Luckily, Fox has the best crew of pit reporters on TV and hopefully access to the drivers will continue to be available. Slightly before 6PM, NASCAR moved all the cars from the grid to the garage area and put them under cover.
This post will serve to host your comments about the NASCAR on Fox telecast of the Sprint Cup Series on Fox. To add your TV-related comment, just click on the comments button below. This is a family-friendly website, please keep that in mind when posting.
Thanks for taking some time out of your life to stop by The Daly Planet.
I just saw Delana Tweeted rain started a big ago.
ReplyDeleteHmm...could be long night.
According to Weather.com
ReplyDelete7pm - Cloudy
8pm - Showers
9pm - Cloudy
10pm - Cloudy
11pm - Cloudy
12am - Showers
from then on showers all Sunday.
This is just what that site said, who knows.
Of course they'll have the long pre race show instead of moving up the start time. Aren't most of the fans there by now anyway? If they're not, they'd miss the GF anyway.
ReplyDeleteFox actually has a baseball game going on that is only in the 7th inning.
ReplyDeleteThe rain has stopped, but the track is wet and it will take a while to dry.
JD
Charlie, it was raining 30 minutes ago or so according to Delana Harvick..it's now 6.23...can't always trust the Doppler :)
ReplyDeleteDot,
I do wish they would move the race to the start of the Fox pre-race!
I need to decide when to wash my hair. ha.
Dot long prerace not a problem, it's raining there now. I fear a rain delay is in our future but I hope they get the race in I'm not home tomorrow and I hear the weather is suppose to be worse.
ReplyDeleteSoph just wanted to let you know it's all your fault, I'm sitting here eating chocolate chip cookies :)
I did look at the forecast myself... tomorrow looks even worse than tonight. I use Yahoo Weather for my info.
ReplyDeleteGuess we'll play it by ear tonight with the broadcasts.
@Nrf, Rain, no problem. In the past with rain imminent sometime after the GF, they may start the race 10 mins sooner. If they would just cut off the prerace like by oh, 30 mins we could see more racing. That's what I meant.
ReplyDeleteJD, if the game runs long, and the track is dry, what then? Who gets booted?
Just saw score 5-5, in the 8th.
ReplyDeleteNot going to happen tonight, but NASCAR's TV contract gaurantees live coverage from green flag to green flag.
ReplyDeleteWonder if RaceDay gets bonus time?
ReplyDeleteNewRaceFan
ReplyDeleteare they good chocolate cookies? I use all real butter in mine. :-)If there is a rain delay I am for sure going to mix up the cookie dough..still need to make choc chip cookies for neighbor that cut the grass. Today my room mate re-lit their pilot light on hot water heater for them, so it's all good.
Anybody surprised Spencer said Dega is JUST fine the way it is and drivers need to get over it.
?? Wow...not cutting the track any slack....sigh.
Granted had Edwards not been hit by another car he would've never gone into the fence...
Then again, didn't martin truex or somebody drive on the SIDE of his car against the fence at a smaller track a couple years ago? So weird things DO happen.
Like Kenny Schrader says, you put on a firesuit, slippers over your shoes, HANS device, helmet and fireproof gloves...something bad might happen!! but I digress (I REALLY miss him on Monday nights!)
JD unfortunately I think we'll just get more prerace on Fox :(
ReplyDeleteI meant to say Edwards not hit by a SECOND car would not have gone so airborne.
ReplyDeleteSoph they taste pretty good to me but only 1/2 real butter
ReplyDeleteHermie too funny with the Bud sign and JR's pit
ReplyDeleteWe're having some bad weather in North Texas. Local Fox is covering it right now and the collapse of the Cowboys practice facility. 10 injuries right now. Looks like this is going to go on for a few more hours so I doubt there will be much race coverage if they get started tonight.
ReplyDeletenrf, there is a live baseball game on Fox that is tied!
ReplyDeleteOK JD less pre race but not more RaceDay, guess I should order dinner.
ReplyDeleteNRFan, I have done the half butter half Crisco, too. That's good..depending on my mood.
ReplyDeleteBevo I read about the collapse on twitter...hope folks will be ok.
Mother nature really taking on the country tonight.
JD
Game here is 9th inning, 9 to 7, cleve and detroit
5 injured, 1 critical at the Cowboys practice facility.
ReplyDeleteLet the media tour begin.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I hope everyone will be fine.
OK, so let's make sure and report in at 7PM as to what Fox stations still have their baseball games in progress and which markets will hit NASCAR on time.
ReplyDeleteShould be interesting.
JD
Stay on SPEED.
ReplyDeleteWOW, NASCAR on FOX coverage will be starting on SPEED!!
ReplyDeleteNo extra charge for my consulting services.....lol.
ReplyDeleteFox's coverage is on Speed. Raceday just said so.
ReplyDeleteWoah... that's weird.
ReplyDeleteFox in Dallas is sticking with the weather, but they say they will cover the green flag.
ReplyDeleteFOX prerace on SPEED
ReplyDeleteGame tied 5-5 on FOX5 KSWB San Diego.
ReplyDeleteWas there a crawl on FOX to tune to SPEED?
ReplyDeleteFOX Atlanta is staying with Braves-Astros, race on SPEED until the game is over.
ReplyDeleteDam JD I guess I'm staying on Speed because obviously outside Philly I have Baseball. This is a very cool deal by Speed to show the Fox prerace. Color me surprised
ReplyDeleteThe Fox Broadcast is being shown on Speed right now.
ReplyDeleteKeep the info coming, this is a big change in strategy.
ReplyDeleteFox finally using SPEED as a live cable partner!
JD magic eight ball or inside info?
ReplyDeleteFox in Milwaukee sticking with ballgame.
ReplyDeleteI don't think there was a crawl... my dad would've changed to Speed.
ReplyDeleteHa... this is something new.
Fox Fort Worth/Dallas still with weather/Cowboys situation
ReplyDeleteOnly issue DVR users or those without Speed
ReplyDeleteI don't think the FOX coverage on SPEED can continue past 8 EST. Motorcycle racing is coming up.
ReplyDeleteNYC obviously still has the Mets/Philly 5-5 game...
ReplyDeleteFox on SPEED here...
ReplyDeleteand as 7:04 NASCAR on Fox supposed to be on next after baseball promos commercials..sigh.
No mention of SPEED from the local Fox affiliate in Dallas.
ReplyDelete@ Alex, what inning are they in?
ReplyDeleteI;m confused. PHI/NYM are in OT on FOX. Are all the games running late?
Rain delay on Fox = Digger. :(
ReplyDeleteNot sure if they are showing different games in different markets, but the Braves game is still in the 6th Inning so Atlanta may not shift the race from FOX for quite a while.
ReplyDeleteNormally I wouldn't care, but due to Crapcast, I have FOX HD but not SPEED HD.
In Los Angeles: Mets and Phillies tied at the top of the 10th. Race is starting on Speed, Fox will have the race after baseball. There was at least one chime with an on-screen indicator that the race is on Speed.
ReplyDeleteJoe Buck said to "check the local channels" for Speed. Well, I don't pay for a cable package that carries Speed, so I guess I'm sticking to Fox
Hot Pass Drivers: Harvick, Burton, Earnhardt, Edwards
ReplyDeleteA couple FOX stations are beginning to join the NASCAR coverage. ie Tigers/Indians.
ReplyDeleteMRN thinks we may be close to being on time.
ReplyDeleteok as of 7:06 Cincinnati Fox channel on the air with NASCAR
ReplyDeleteWARNING DIGGER CARTOON COMING UP. I will wash my hair then!
This is certainly an interesting day in NASCAR TV history.
ReplyDeleteSPEED handled rain-delayed races for ESPN and Fox before on Mondays, but this is going to be interesting.
The pre-race is being simulast on the Fox stations that have finished baseball and also on the SPEED cable network.
Probably going to continue the simulcast until all the major markets have switched over to NASCAR.
This is fun to watch unfold.
Is Hammonds shirt really turquoise? Or is it because I'm watching a HD shirt on a SD channel? Goes well with the tie but interesting choice
ReplyDeleteupstate NY is sticking with baseball...but it's the Mets, no way would they move from there (nor should they.)
ReplyDeleteGrr! My sorry cable provider (charter) doesn't offer Speed HD.
ReplyDelete@ Alex & Jane, thanks.
ReplyDeleteAlex, so when would you get to see the race? Let's pretend it wasn't raining. Would your baseball game move to a different channel?
Wasn't paying attention, but checked my DVR recording and it's switched over to NASCAR after about 5 minutes past the hour.
ReplyDeletePleas keep telling us when your Fox station changes to NASCAR and what market you are in.
ReplyDeleteFox DFW anchor keeps repeating they will go to the race when it starts :)
ReplyDeleteJD I have a question regarding commercials, will it be all the ones that should have been on Fox? If so what about locals and what about the ones that were suppose to be on Speed?
ReplyDeleteFox WNYW obviously has the Mets game
ReplyDeleteDigger makes me want to puke!
ReplyDeleteMets - Phillies are in extra innings with the Joe Buck #1 crew on Fox, this rain is doing Fox a favor, for now.
ReplyDeleteAck... Digger alert! :(
ReplyDeleteIs this a rerun of Digger?
ReplyDeleteFOX just informed viewers pre-race is on SPEED
ReplyDeleteMan, that gopher really has trouble with the ladies.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Sacramento. Baseball game still on Fox, tied 5-5 bottom of the 10th. Back to Speed HD.
ReplyDeleteAnother Digger rerun, time to see what's on Fox. UM that would be baseball.
ReplyDeleteI am sure fox could put a commercial or three on in place of this stupid cartoon
ReplyDeleteshowed the final score of the game about seven minutes ago on speed... as of now, game still tied 5-5 on fox affiliate WGHP in winston-salem/greensboro/high point...
ReplyDeleteBoy, can't wait 'till Fox's run is over. No more Goophy Gopher for a while.
ReplyDeleteGot to give Fox a lot of credit. This is a good solution that we have been preaching for two years now.
ReplyDeleteUse SPEED when there is a NASCAR problem and let the fans see what is going on.
Sorry for the small group that does not have SPEED, the network is the only Fox option.
Remember, they had to use FX Network last season in that baseball disaster?
I am remembering a terrible mess involving Fox, FX, a Nascar race and a Yankees-Red Sox game in which people lost both the green flag of the race and the final out of the ballgame
ReplyDelete@Dot,
ReplyDeleteIn ATL there are a couple local stations that show the games (2 owned by FOX, the 3rd owned by Turner). I would guess it should move to one of the others, which are currently showing poker.
Braves are down 4-1, just started the 7th inning. If it ends quickly, that puts it near 8:00 for the switch.... And That's being optimistic.
Waaay OT. What is that HK on the PHI uniforms? Jus checking the score.
ReplyDeleteFox DFW anchor just told viewers who want to see pre-race to switch to Speed
ReplyDeleteThis just happened on Fox: some joke about a baseball player and the nascar race, Joe Buck had to say, the race is on, on Speed channel.
ReplyDeleteFox in ATL did put up a notice the pre race is on Speed.
ReplyDeleteIf the green flag does fly at 7:43 as scheduled there's no way the Atl game will be over. Top of the 7th and visitor is winning.
Top of the 7th Braves/Astros. I want to say the average inning lasts 20ish minutes. If that's the case we're looking at 8:00 before we get the HD signal for the Atlanta market
ReplyDeletelol is Kyle talking with his mouth full of Combos?
ReplyDeleteThe current pre-race scripted show is going to be done around 7:30PM.
ReplyDeleteShould be interesting to see what happens after that...
Poor guy must be getting hammered about the race :) They just showed a second box to show everyone that Fox is still showing a baseball game
ReplyDelete@ Alex, forgot to thank you for the response :)
ReplyDeleteBaseball announcers on Fox informed NASCAR viewers to tune in to SPEED TV for coverage.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that the Fox TV stations are not running a crawl about NASCAR being on SPEED leads me to believe that this was a bit of a last-minute decision.
ReplyDeleteI actually was hoping for a longer delay... but that's just me.
ReplyDeleteFOX's slogan is "Animation Domination" due to The Simpsons and all the other cartoons they've developed. Now it's Digger in the groove.
ReplyDeleteI, for one, have just decided to boycott their pre-race shows from now on. Cartoons are not my forte'.
Wonder what the Chairman of the Board at FOX looks like? I'd like to picture a distinguished gentleman with a touch of class. Instead, I keep picturing Homer....
FOX Seattle showing racing. They showed the end of the ball game, but that was on the last out.
ReplyDeleteFOX Detroit (which I receive with my HD package) is still showing a ball game. It's in the 10th.
SPEED showing the pre-race show.
--KarenB
To haus20. Common sense would and should dictate starting the race a little early. As far as espu goes (neither is the lesser of two evils)as long as they don't come up with some idiotic animated cartoon, I'll be somewhat mullified. I just want a network that shows the whole field, not just the top 10.
ReplyDeletefrom Jenna Fryer (AP) on Twitter:
ReplyDelete"Only like 3 more races until Digger goes into his hole for the rest of the season."
Too funny!
Dot - it's in tribute to their announcer Harry Kalas who passed away a couple of weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteGuess they know the people in Seattle are not interested in baseball unless it's the Mariners. We've got the pre-race show!
ReplyDelete@ Anon 7:21, too funny.
ReplyDeleteBig switch coming, Mets game is over. They lost.
ReplyDeleteStill like my idea of making the Martinsville hot dogs out of gophers.
ReplyDelete@ Colleen, thanks. I had a feeling it was a tribute to someone.
ReplyDeleteIn Los Angeles: Phillies just won the game, Joe Buck said wrap-up will happen after commercials.
ReplyDeleteDot - HK is for Harry Kalas, voice of the Phillies, who recently passed away.
ReplyDeleteGame over, race hasn't started yet and I missed Digger.....not all that bad! ;-)
Are they going to dissect the game?
ReplyDeleteIf you have PIP on your TV, you should be able to see the same thing on Fox and SPEED if your regional baseball game is over.
ReplyDeleteShould be interesting to see how they handle the big switch of SPEED back to regular programming.
wow command in 11 minutes...
ReplyDeleteNope. :0
ReplyDeleteA very short wrap-up, then a nascar commercial for Richmond. Now more commercials.
ReplyDeleteFox WMQF out of Marquette, Michigan had the Detroit baseball game on but it ended just after 7 and now has the pre-race show on.
ReplyDeleteFox WLUK out of Green Bay, Wisconsin has the New York Phli game on and it has now just ended and will be going to Nascar after the break. 7:26pm
Thanks, Dot! I have to be careful how I word things - don't want JD to delete me...
ReplyDeleteEven though I've got the pre-race show, my blood pressure is up, my nerves are screaming, and the race hasn't even started yet!
By the way, all the hotel people are talking over each other - guess they see something funny in what they're saying. Too bad their audience doesn't understand a word of it...
They're doing the wrap up of the Mets-Phillies game now in Albuquerque, should switch to the pre-race soon.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that NASCAR is getting the track dry and things back on time is amazing.
ReplyDeleteHow many Fox and local station promos can one viewer stand?
Nice tribute to DP.
ReplyDeleteFox WNYW just joined the post race at 7:30
ReplyDeleteBraves-Astros just ended the 7th Inning.
ReplyDeleteAlbuquerque came back (finally) with an update from Meyers, then went back to commercials.
ReplyDeleteWow, Fox has finally learned to do something that ESPN has known to do for years. Its about time.
ReplyDeleteThough, Fox should have NASCAR and the pre-race show in a protected timeslot. They know baseball can go long.
....well WNYW just went back to commercials after 15 seconds of Chris Myers. Good grief!
ReplyDeleteRe: Labbie's comment. FOX in LV has switched to the prerace with a bunch of commls.
ReplyDeleteHow is it some FOX stations show different things? BTW, I still watching commls.
In Los Angeles: got a little nascar blurb att 4:30pm local time, after a smattering of Canada and Fox commercials. Then more commercials. I guess we won't actually get the race until the on-track stuff?
ReplyDeleteNice to see them remember Poole
ReplyDeleteKSWB FOX5 dropped into Chris M mid sentence to say racing is coming up. Only problem is the invocation ceremonies are on now, FOX apparently doesnt want to drop in the middle of the ceremonies so back to commercials in San Diego.
ReplyDeletewow: invocation and already 112 comments! i'll catch up to you all in a few minutes.
ReplyDeleteand kudos to have the marine drum and bugle core do the national anthem!
race hard, be safe and have fun, guys!
Race coverage JUST began in DC. They were in commercial at least through the moment of silence
ReplyDeleteFox DFW just switched to the race mid-anthem.
ReplyDeleteI see the National Anthum on Speed and a commercial on New York City on Fox. Urghh...
ReplyDeleteStarting coverage right during the middle of the anthem??!??
ReplyDeletefox has several MLB games of regional interest running at the same time.
ReplyDeleteJust like different NFL games for different markets.
We are just trying to keep track of who has joined the race.
Here in Florida, we just joined for the flyover.
JD
We've still got commercials on WOFL out of Orlando.
ReplyDeleteSheesh.
Albuquerque finally joins the NASCAR broadcast at the last note of the National Anthem.
ReplyDeleteLos Angeles got on track at 4:33pm at the last note of the national anthem, and now commercials. sheesh.
ReplyDeleteAfter all that, KSWB FOX5 San Diego, came in right in the middle of the Nation anthem anyway...kind of odd... Well at least NASCAR coverage is back on now.
ReplyDeleteSince I missed pre-race in NYC (and dont have speed), what did they do as a tribute to DP?
ReplyDeleteFox 29 Philly cut in about halfway through the anthem
ReplyDeleteNice of Speed to keep tuned in during opening ceremonies. Beautiful Anthem.
ReplyDeletealso. Did Jimmy's hair get attacked by birds!? (made me snicker during the invocation, and then made me feel bad for snickering..)
At least 8 mins of commls. Are they playing them now since more likely than not the race will end early? If so, I hope it bites them in the butt and we get to see the race comml free at the end.
ReplyDeleteNat'l Anthem? I'm still watching commls.
This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.
ReplyDeleteWell, the idea was good! the execution was not really swift.
ReplyDeleteIs there anyone else out there still watching a baseball game right now?
Still commercials
ReplyDeletefind it interesting carl edwards wife doesn't come to the races..
ReplyDeleteNow Fox needs to get off of Speed.
ReplyDeleteDidn't mean to post twice. Phone was ringing while I was previewing/sending.
ReplyDeleteHey, we've got broadcast in O-Town!
ReplyDeleteNASCAR on FOX is still on SPEED, I wonder when/if/how, they will go back to regular programing.
ReplyDeleteGetting some OTA hiccups DFW
ReplyDeleteFox WLUK game ended at 7:26 and then they ran 6 minutes of commercials until going to the race. They switched to the race just as the National Anthem was finishing and now more commercials.
ReplyDeleteThe Poole tribute was very well done, and it was great that Mike Joy voiced it and not Myers
ReplyDeleteFox Nashville joined just in time for "Home of the brave." Busted out of a local commercial.
ReplyDeleteHi guys - i was wondering where everyone was...I was on the ESPN "pieces" blog. That would explain why there was only 30 comments.
ReplyDeleteThey will only drop the SPEED simulcast when all the baseball ends.
ReplyDeleteAnyone still have baseball?
FOX WRLH Richmond completely missed the anthem(and the race is just outside of Richmond)
ReplyDeleteTrack Girl Hat hair and a breeze. Most importantly didn't see the wife, who would have handled it.
ReplyDeleteExcellent tribute to David Poole, too bad not everyone could see it. They should show it again IF we have rain issues
I think the atlanta game is running long
ReplyDeleteJD,
ReplyDeleteAre all of the local affiliates required to show the green flag? If that's the case, than FOX had better switch baseball to a local cable station.
YAY Russ!
ReplyDeleteYou think the local affiliate would.
ReplyDeleteOur affiliate goes as far as having their own local pre-show whenever Daytona rolls around.
If only the Poole tribute was as long as the Madden one...
ReplyDeleteThe Braves game was held back by a long rain delay, so they're still in the 8th Inning. FOX still has baseball on in Atlanta.
ReplyDeleteBottom of the 8th for the atl market
ReplyDeleteI really thought the Poole tribute was just right, there have been other journalist that Nascar held moments of silence for and the networks barely acknowledged them. The Madden tribute was to one of foxes own. Fox did good this time!
ReplyDelete@ haus20/aka Rhonda, right on. I didn't see it. Commls were on.
ReplyDeleteReally hate that my SIRIUS went kaput on me =(
ReplyDeleteJust a side note before the racing begins. Marty Smith and his wife just has a baby girl. Mia and Ms. Smith are just fine. Marty looks tired.
ReplyDeleteHope he has a good weekend off, then back to the grind!
DP vs JM, are you kidding
ReplyDeleteoops...had.
ReplyDeleteOn my laptop, not such a good time.
haus20,
ReplyDeleteI was there with ya and commented on the Derby, too.
lol Dot
ReplyDeleteI don't applaude Fox for anything. This is as a good idea as using a pot holder to take something out of the oven. It is brain dead obvious.
ReplyDeleteThank you Alex, will you please tell us when it is over!
ReplyDeleteSPEED is scheduled for a live AMA motorcycle race at 8PM.
This one should be another interesting decision for the TV guys.
Anon @ 7:23 - Mariners are on FSN at 5:30
ReplyDeleteJD, doesnt ever market HAVE to show the green flag? Isnt the ATL market required by contract to switch over to NASCAR by the green flag?!?!
ReplyDeleteAnyone know how the weather's holding up? I know it's turning to night, but it looks really cloudy.
ReplyDeleteyes I saw Marty's Twitter update! Good for them!
ReplyDeletethe empty seat in the press room was a tear jerker...glad Mike did the voice over.
ReplyDeleteTrack Girl..lol...was wondering about that myself.
bozo...it's really none of our business, but Rusty's wife never came to the races (for reasons you can read anywhere on the web.) Carl's wife is a doctor; might now be easy for her to get away...orthopedics I think it is. Every couple makes its own decisions for their own reasons.
Now *that* was an anthem...but then, I love a good D&B corps...
Congratulations to the Smith family, nice to hear some good news.
ReplyDeleteGood job by Fox handling this situation.
rumor is they might start under yellow. anyone hearing anything about that from any source?
ReplyDeleteI sure wish the weather would clear in Dallas --- that's my local FOX --
ReplyDeleteThe weather is playing hob with the DirecTV signal. It keeps pixelating!
Anon,
ReplyDeleteWe are all going to find that out together in a couple of minutes.
Some journalists complaining NASCAR put the tracks on the cars for TV.
Jet dryers are still out. They have to make a decision shortly, start it under yellow or send them to pit road.
no reason to start under yellow today, track is drying fast.
ReplyDeleteAre there really any race fans who haven't seen the Edwards wreck?
ReplyDeleteFOX Atlanta will the green. Braves-Astros. just started the top of the 9th Inning. The Braves are losing, and they still have to bat in the 2nd half of the inning. Very slim chance it all ends by 8.
ReplyDeleteugh. how about telling us what's happening on the track rather than the "flashback?"
ReplyDeleteWOW. lots of comments to catch up
ReplyDeleteThe piece on Poole choked me up showing his empty seat. :(
Then nice shot of the sky
My previous comment got cut off. I wanted to say that Atlanta will see the green flag on SPEED. Fox is skipping it because baseball isn't over.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't all the cars on the track help dry it too? Seems to be it would have been easier for TV to wait since they were having BB issues
ReplyDeleteok if it starts under yellow, is that considered the starting 'green flag'?? when would the other FOX stations be required to switch over then? the real green flag as in the first laps of up to speed racing? or is it just when the laps begin to count?
ReplyDeleteAnon, you are wearing the tires and gas. NASCAR has to start it under yellow or send them to pit road.
ReplyDeleteThey have asked Gordon if the track is ready. NASCAR is making the cars run single file to dry the high line.
Like to be on the NASCAR radio right now....
agreed haus20 about the 'dega wreck. we're in richmond now: surely there were a FEW exciting finishes they should ahve used as flashback moments?
ReplyDeletei spent time and many, many hand gestures last night explaining the 'dega wreck to folks while sitting out for front porch friday. lots of discussion about how the 99 ended up airborne -- more than the catch fence holding.
@ haus20, even non race fans? Is there a count on how many times this has been shown this week?
ReplyDeleteTRL-
ReplyDeleteMy DirecTV signal for DFW Fox is fine, the OTA signal is having problems though
Just got back from the horse track and found the race has changed channels and drying the track. Good timing.
ReplyDeleteDid I hear them say that those caution laps wouldn't count? The crawl says 1 of 400... Maybe I just didn't hear right.
ReplyDeleteok....has it started? why is FOX showing 'lap one of 400'??
ReplyDeleteEither they're waiting for the track to dry, or they're waiting for Houston-Atlanta to get over with. Or it's a combination of the 2 things.
ReplyDeleteglenc1 - Carl's wife is an assistant professor of physical medicine & rehabilitation ...
ReplyDeleteDrying, drying, drying... I'm bored.
ReplyDeletealex, make sure to tell us if your fox station dumps the braves for NASCAR please.
ReplyDeleteLets watch a parade!
ReplyDeletegreen flag/yellow....I still dont know what this means to the NASCAR contract.
ReplyDeleteFOX has a crawl on the bottom "Nascar coverage from Richmond available on SPEED". The Astros have a couple baserunners on, so it should be interesting to see if SPEED cuts the cup race for AMA racing.
ReplyDeleteHooray!
ReplyDelete5 min to live motorcycle racing on SPEED. Should be interesting to see who wins on this one.
ReplyDelete
