Nationwide Qualifying on SPEED
This week SPEED gets another chance to step-into the on-track mix with coverage of Nationwide Series qualifying at 11AM on Saturday.
It will be Steve Byrnes, Larry McReynolds and Jeff Hammond calling the action with Wendy Venturini and Randy Pemberton reporting from pit road. Bob Dillner has the weekend off.
This is a good opportunity for McReynolds to use his knowledge and pass along his perspective on the various teams currently in the Nationwide Series. This is a group in transition and the COT that is making its way into the series has a lot of owners rattled.
The TV team will also probably touch on the very curious story about two Nationwide race engines being stolen after a break-in at the Roush-Fenway Racing engine shop. That story is going to have some twists and turns going forward.
This post will serve to host your comments about the coverage of Nationwide Series qualifying on SPEED from Dover. Thank you, SPEED.
I appreciate your carrying this for the fans. :)
@ Lisa Hogan,
Ditto from Dot.
Thank you SPEED. It was really nice to get to see qualifying today.
Yep it was nice to hear the familiar knowledgeable voices. Shame about the polesitter though!
Man, I wish these guys could call the race today at 3:30pm. It's so nice to hear folks that you can tell really like their jobs, NA$CAR, and have REAL excitement in their voices.
Thanks Speed.
Steve L.
Want to add my kudos to SPEED as well!
I agree Steve! I wish they'd cover it all season :(. I hate the constant *crickets* when *someone* should be talking!
Wreck in turn 2 (in a voice as if one was talking about the nice weather outside) *crickets* queue commercial (begin voice of life and excitement) vs. Wreck in turn 2! (with life and excitement)...the #X car got loose and got into the #Y car and that started a 10 car pile up. The cars involved are....Everyone seems to be OK and are heading to the medical center to be checked out. Queue commercial.
Re: the Rousch stolen engines. My first thought was, "is Jack going to blame MWR?" lol
