Mike Joy To Co-Host Wind Tunnel At 9PM

Not too happy with the SPEEDtv.com website or the PR guys. It would have been nice of them to update the site or drop me a line when they have a high-profile guest like Mike Joy on a program.

The NASCAR on Fox play-by-play announcer will be co-hosting Wind Tunnel with Dave Despain. This should be a good opportunity for Joy to weigh-in with his opinions about The Chase and NASCAR in general.

We will leave this post up for in-progress comments on this program. To add your opinion, just click on the COMMENTS button below and follow the easy instructions. The rules for posting are located on the right side of the main page. Thanks for taking the time to stop by The Daly Planet.

Glad I checked here, guess I know what I'm doing at 9pm. I'll be happy just to hear his voice and remember what real PXP sounds like.

I tape WT anyway, just don't always watch alot of it, depending on who's on. Tonite, FF will probably not be used much! I love me some Mike Joy!! I know you mentioned this info in your other piece, but to make a whole column about it shows how much you admire MJ-good job, JD ~thumbs up~

could it be that despains deal is up soon?

I hope DD's deal isn't almost up!

As much as he prefers open-wheel to stock cars, he knows his racing history and is a good host for this show.

Wow, co-host? Despain probably LOVES that! Thanks for the head's up. I don't tape this show every week and definitely will this week.

Co-host is just something SPEED uses when the guest will be on for the entire show. Nothing more.

@pamm--I have it on SP as well and do a lot of FF of most of the shows.

yup...they use co-host a lot just to mean someone is going to be hanging around for more than a segment. They use it a lot with Robin and Jeff. When DW was on I think they used it for him as well. And others like when Ed Hinton would drop by or Bob Varsha would chat with us :).

I like what Mike Joy said about the whole talladega issue last week. "NASCAR never said if you get forced below the yellow line that it is ok to pass"

I watched the re-broadcast this morning and as usual, Mike Joy is a breath of fresh air and he and Despain made a pretty good pair.
I too am looking forward to the Fox portion of the tv contract because of his great experience and great ply by play announcing.
