Live Blogging The Nationwide Series Race From Nashville on ESPN2

Add your Kyle Busch guitar smash comments by clicking the comments button below.

What a weekend this has been for ESPN where NASCAR is concerned. Practice coverage on Friday consisted of lots of talking and very little content. Saturday's qualifying was the victim of a live college baseball game running long, so lots of the cars were dropped from the coverage so ESPN2 could hit live golf on time at 5PM.

Now, the NASCAR on ESPN team has to re-group and get things back together for a live race from Nashville. This is one of those unique concrete tracks that is very different from the traditional NASCAR surfaces that this series sees regularly.

Allen Bestwick will lead Rusty Wallace and Brad Daugherty on the air at 7PM with the pre-race show from the Infield Pit Studio. Tim Brewer will also be on-hand from the Tech Garage.

Once the pre-race is over, Wallace will be going up to the booth and joining Dr. Jerry Punch and Andy Petree to call the race. Dale Jarrett has the weekend off. Down on pit road will be Dave Burns, Shannon Spake and Jamie Little.

Both Carl Edwards and Kyle Busch are down from Pocono for this race. Look for the normal struggles of the Nationwide regulars to keep up with the big boys. A consistent story on these stand-alone weekends will be how many teams start the race and then pull directly into the garage before the first pit stop for fuel.

Although the fuel is free, the tires are not. Teams at the back of the pack who have no intention of actually racing are going to save every dollar possible. TDP will be keeping track of the start and park teams in our live blog.

The track is easy to cover for TV, makes great pictures with the light surface and offers good racing. This part of the coverage should be fun to watch.

This post will serve to host your comments about the Nationwide Series on ESPN2 from Nashville. To add your TV-related opinion, just click on the comments button below. This is a family-friendly website, please keep that in mind when posting.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by The Daly Planet.

By the way Wings are up 3-0

....4-0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Dot - I was just going to say that, do the ESPN reporters have a quota of "feeling" questions they have to ask?

Tracy D said...

Franchitti no longer looks like a criminal - he has long hair!

Daly Planet Editor said...

going to be IRL vs NASCAR head-to-head shortly

Anonymous said...

@Dot - is it an omen of Cup coverage the feelings questions? The twins will be back in the feeling mode? Couldn't they learn how to ask a question like a pro reporter not Oprah?

Anonymous said...

And he said "I saw that the stands were only half full and I felt really sad..."

Next question, please...

bevo said...

Hola Y'all ! Beautiful night here at TMS for the IRL race. I'll check in tomorrow for the Cup race. Time to crack open another Shiner before they start the engines !

Snafam said...

@dot...ten, counting Darnell who gets the LD.

Martin Vincent said...

9 cars on the lead lap now.

Vicky D said...

Boy Jaime wouldn't give that poor driver a break!

Anonymous said...

Dario is not cutting his hair until TK wins a race.

He has a full head of hair, 500 championship, and a smoking hot wife...he is a hero of mine!

Snafam said...

sorry, I didn't realize that the comments section had turned over to a new page!

Martin Vincent said...

Stephen Leicht is on the lead lap, could we have our next surprise winner tonight?

Vicky D said...

Bevo were you at the truck race last night and if so, give us your thoughts.

Anonymous said...

"but still yet..."? Say what?! Tim needs help!

Daly Planet Editor said...

bevo, have fun. Should be an interesting night.

Dot said...

Thanks for the lead lap info.

@ Martin V, from your lips/keyboard.....

Anonymous said...

per MRN Leffler was able to keep up with Kyle during red flag. LOL

Martin Vincent said...

#15 back out again, had been in the garage for 15 minutes.

Tracy D said...

Didn't Leitch win here when he was driving for Gibbs?

Dot said...

@ Jo, is JP doing double duty on MRN?

Anonymous said...

Leitch won in Kentucky...driving for Yates.

Martin Vincent said...

@Dot - I stand/sit corrected, Snafam was right, now 10 with Darnell getting a lap back.

Dot said...

I blinked and missed the restart.

Tracy D said...

Anon at 9:31, thanks. Wasn't Matt McCall and development driver with Leitch? Whatever happened to McCall? Tall, engineering degree, very personable...

Anonymous said...

@Dot no I think it was Eli. With JP we'd hear crickets

Tracy D said...

" A gaggle of cars. . ." Sounds like they're ducks.

Anonymous said...

Why in the world doesn't bspn get Doc to sit those "pit reporter" girls down and have a go at teaching them how to ask a question? How to do an interview?

Anonymous said...

@Sophia---I say Seasoned Citizens too :)

@anon 8:32--I had a man call about a month ago to dispute a charge for them. He wouldn't even say the name just gave the date and amount and said something like "you see right there who it's for".

@Vicky--I thought the same thing! It's like "in case you FORGOT that's also where you wrecked yesterday!"

@bevo--enjoy!

Lou said...

Go JP, "a gaggle of cars."

Daly Planet Editor said...

I don't really mind Rusty tonight, but the excitement level from Punch is not there. Just reading a script and following cues.

Just call the action we are seeing on the screen!

Dot said...

@ Jo, I was referring to lame comments by JP. Just like last week when he said that SDDD has 50 NASCAR wins just like Ned Jarrett. Thing is, Ned won 50 CUP races. I wish we could've seen DJs face.

Martin Vincent said...

@Tracy - According to Matt McCall's website, he's driving the "I Dig Pigs" car in the UARA series.

Anonymous said...

I'm sorry, but when did Punch have an excitement level? I sure missed it somewhere over the last umpteen years. Must have been before my time!

bevo said...

Sorry battery running low :). Didn't get to the Truck race last night - thankfully. Drivers coming down through the crowd for a few years now, nice touch. Clear skies full moon and low 80s - perfect!

Daly Planet Editor said...

This is where I miss DJ, he will just jump in and do the play by play coverage.

JP and Rusty are just observing and asking Andy questions.

Tracy D said...

Thanks Martin for info on McCall. Wonder why no one picked him up?

Daly Planet Editor said...

bevo, tell Danica to follow TDP on Twitter. She might need to learn NASCAR very soon!

Anonymous said...

Definitely miss DJ! And I still want to know why Bestwick isn't allowed in the booth.

Anonymous said...

I really wish ESPN would let R Craven try the June races.

At least one of my channel surfing options is over....5-0 Wings!

Dot said...

If this is like any other race where SDDD is leading, there's still hope he won't win.

Martin Vincent said...

#99 Trevor Bayne back out after spending almost 20 minutes in the garage.

Anonymous said...

@Tracy, re the Jeff Gordon sculpture in Spitzer's office--a relative of Spitzer's wife (I think a cousin or in-law) works in the 24 shop. That's the connection.

Sophia said...

sorry off topic, IRL wreck already.

GOOGLE shots though

Dot said...

@ Martin V, please apply for the pit road job @ BSPN. Without your comments, we'd know nothing. Plus, you already know how we feel (sorry) about the feeling questions.

Keep it up JP talking about SDDD.

Daly Planet Editor said...

Pretty clear that Ricky need a slot on ESPN soon. I think a different crew doing the Nationwide races would be the way to go. Craven and Marty Reid in the booth.

Sophia said...

Did Kenny Wallace get back on the lead lap???

Dot said...

Wasn't Shelby Howard in a real bad wreck in the past? I remember seeing something about that.

@ JD, I agree. We can only stand JP once a week when CUP comes to BSPN.

Anonymous said...

JD- The Nationwide series should have Marty Reid, Ricky Craven, and Randy LaJoie in the booth.

Tracy D said...

What did Eury Sr say about "Kyle...all year long.."?

Martin Vincent said...

@Dot - ESPN only pays attention to the front-running cars, so I keep my eye on the cars in the back with Live Leaderboard while I prepare my results page for my website. Click my name above for a sneak peek.

Karen said...

Tracy, Dario's hair used to be long. Only when he came to NASCAR did he get a buzz cut.

Dot said...

@ Anon 9:53, I'd give up DJ for that line up.

@ Martin V, will do. Thanks.

Martin Vincent said...

@Sophia - Kenny's still 2 laps down, in 17th place.

Karen said...

I think Pops said Kyle's been fast all year long.

Dot said...

Martin V, bookmarked you for later reading :).

Daly Planet Editor said...

For those of you watching the IRL race as well. Sports Illustrated recently did an article on the IRL TV coverage. The memorable line was...

NASA has just spent millions of dollars fixing the Hubble telescope, but they still can't find the Versus TV network on the cable dial.

Sophia said...

Thank you Martin V.

Glenn said...

JD, that's the best idea you've had since you started this site!
A seperate crew for the Nationwide races.
I'm gonna talk real loud now.

HEY ESPN, JD HAD A GREAT IDEA, GET A SECOND CREW FOR NATIONWIDE!

lmao

Tracy D said...

Thanks, Karen.

Anonymous said...

Are there 30,000 people in the stands at Texas?

Martin Vincent said...

@Dot - Thanks, send feedback after you do.

#2 Caisse, #26 Brian Keselowski and #16 Stenhouse are officially out.

#15 Annett running many laps behind, #33 Gale still off but not out, #99 Bayne is out per ESPN's ticker.

Dot said...

Instead of guessing when they're going to pit, have the pit roaders ask the CCs. Isn't that what they're there for?

Anonymous said...

JD..in suburban Indianapolis..Versus is not on BASIC...but it is on HD!!!!

Defending the IRL..Versus drew a monster # for the Stanley Cup games 3 & 4. The potential is there to help grow the series.

ESPN did such a great job with the series......

Martin Vincent said...

@Sophia - Kenny's 3 laps down now.

Sophia said...

JD

That is HILARIOUS and sad about the S.I. comment..so true.

How this is going to help this sport is beyond me..and most folks.

Daly Planet Editor said...

What was that???? Are you kidding me?

Dot said...

VS needs to advertise on other channels like SPEED, etc does.

Big rookie mistake by Marc.

Martin Vincent said...

#62 Gaughan was running 11th, 1 lap down before that awful pit road crash.

Daly Planet Editor said...

Here in South Florida, Versus was removed from the basic line-up and added to the HD package.

But, if you did not have HD, you would never check those channels.

Really made no sense to me, I found it weeks later.

Anonymous said...

The #10 car needs experience--and an experienced spotter.

Tracy D said...

I was watching IRL interview with Graham Rahal. What happened on pit road?

Dot said...

Wasn't the 24's wheel well just on fire? Sorry, it's not my job to know which driver it is.

Sophia said...

JD

In some parts of SW Ohio, they just added Vs after the new contract but put it on the second tier digital which we already got in order to get SPEED.

but far fewer homes have it than ESPN and ratings were low there. NEVER hardly ever saw commercials for IRL.

They do have free streaming on Indycar.com site though last I heard.

Martin Vincent said...

Nice shot of the burning brake caliper on John Bousselot's helmet cam.

Daly Planet Editor said...

Marc Davis was turning into the garage without his hand out the window. Got T-boned by a guy going in for a pit stop.

Tracy D said...

THat is a truly unattractive bumper with KB.

anon 10:01 said...

JD..I never check any channels that are not on HD.

In fact..Speed is next to Versus on my HD line up.

Tracy D said...

Thanks, JD, for the info.

Daly Planet Editor said...

So you can see the Versus problem. There are many more homes without HD than with...

Sophia said...

Tracy

I missed what happened on Pit Road but there was a bad crash on the track..Graham Rahal said something gbroke on his car as the car was terrible to drive..My room mate was talking to me and I missed the details but everybody is ok. Milka Duna involved (Milk & Donuts But for once it wasn't her fault) And a third driver whose name I forget EJ Viso (still don't know my IRL names and can't read the tiny crawl on our 21 inch tv)

text only suitable for gnats to read

Dot said...

@ Martin V, dang, you're good. I still don't know the name of the driver and you name the crew guy.

Martin Vincent said...

@JD - Wasn't the Davis / Gaughan crash a bit of a freak accident? Gaughan seemed to be getting to his pit stall awfully fast. Or maybe it was just the camera angle that made it look that way. What could Davis have done differently to prevent this crash?

Daly Planet Editor said...

OK Jerry! Crank up the excitement and make us want to watch!!

Anonymous said...

Versus is on expanded basic on Comcast in Seattle/Everett ...

FoxSportsNW / ESPN / ESPN2 / Speed / Versus / Food ... on the channel lineup ...

Daly Planet Editor said...

Or...a soundbite with under 20 laps to go....pitiful.

Sophia said...

Tracy

never mind I thought you were asking ME what happened on pit road. duh.

Confusion..sorry

Martin Vincent said...

@Dot - That's Eric McClure in the Rensi-Hamilton Racing car.

Daly Planet Editor said...

Martin, just put your hand out of the window and point to the garage.

Daly Planet Editor said...

14 laps to go! Call the race!!!!

Dot said...

In the real world, Marc would be at fault. Since Marc was going to the garage, why couldn't he have waited a few seconds.

Thank you pit reporter Martin V.

Daly Planet Editor said...

I give up, Punch will never be a play by play guy. Almost ten laps to go and he is a rambling fool.

Vicky D said...

Plus, where did Gaughan think Davis was going to pit? Surely during the race he would have known that Davis was either pitting in front or behind him.

Tracy D said...

Versus is on the Speed tier here - not only HD. It's just a skip from the Speed channel, so it's easy to find on FIOS.

Karen said...

Eric McClure is 24 driver.

Dot said...

VS is on basic here in LV. I'm low tech, no HD.

Charlie said...

It is the Busch, Edwards, wallace show.
I would hate to have a new person just watching car racing for the first time see this race broadcast.

Tracy D said...

@Sophia, I was listening to Graham Rahal talk about the crash too. Looked awful.

anon 10:01 said...

JD...can you explain the 2.6 / 3 mil homes rating for the Stanley Cup....I know the Wings are a big draw, but that is a nice rating.

I really think the IRL did not have any other options...not like Speed really wants to cover racing.

Anonymous said...

9 laps to go & they are discussing travel to Pocono?

Daly Planet Editor said...

Mike Joy would be looking at the cars and trying to tell the stories and find the racing.

Jerry asking about getting on a plane....

Vicky D said...

8 laps to go and JP is talking about the cup guys having to fly back to Pocono. Give us some updates.

Anonymous said...

Anyone ever heard of "Punch drunk"? Maybe it fits! Was he ever in the ring?

Daly Planet Editor said...

silence from Punch....deep sigh....let's check the speeds

Anon, the NHL was on a broadcast network and it was the finals.

Dot said...

Does it really matter now how fast Carl is? Like he's going to run SDDD down. I know, it's in the script.

Mike said...

don't have VS channel...indycar website worked until the race started and now it won't load for me...indy won't allow anyone on justin to stream it...I was at the texas indy race a couple years ago and it was awesome..too bad i can't watch it now..okay, back to nascar.....zzzzzzzzzz

Andrew said...

Well, that was certainly the Kyle Busch show.

Anonymous said...

Just hope ESPN has a camera following Brendan Gaughan to the garage. That may be the most interesting action of the night.

Anonymous said...

What a weekend of pitiful racing! The Truck race at Texas was not exciting at all, The Nationwide race with 6 cars on the lead lap, and the Cup race at Pocono (usually a snooze-fest).

inkthatpaints said...

I wonder if Kyle will stick around for the post race interview

Anonymous said...

Well that was anti climatic! Jerry is now more animated after the freakin race than the last 9 laps!!

Good night all

Tracy D said...

Anon at 10:21 - you are so right.

Dot said...

I'm going to be ill. I wish the 32 would've brake checked him.

The Loose Wheel said...

very nice burnout. if only the all-star version had that kind of result

Dot said...

Listen to the boos.

Lou said...

enjoyed reading all the comments. thanks all

Daly Planet Editor said...

see if they blow off Brendan like they blew off Wimmer.

The Pocono race had better be daggone great because this Friday and Saturday has been terrible.

Or as Charles Barkely would say "trrrble."

Tracy D said...

The boos are a lot louder than they were in Richmond when he won.

Richard in N.C. said...

Eli is doing a good job, but doubt he would fit in an EESPN booth.

Now that Shrub has won, wonder if there will be anyone there to interview him besides TV and radio?

Vicky D said...

We wanted Houston's Brad Coleman to get a better finish. Lots of boos there's Carl good interview.

Anonymous said...

Mike, the crawl on the IRL race says to go to versus.com for the race feeds...try that.

The Loose Wheel said...

JP struggles yet again. Lookie there, Uncle Brenny

anon 10:01 said...

JD..games 3 & 4 of the cup were on Versus...they drew 3 million viewers!

Better at Georgetown than Howard U? OHHHHHHHHHH dear.....

The Loose Wheel said...

Me thinks there is a community sentiment that Marc Davis is not too well liked...

Anonymous said...

Uncle Brenni is not a happy camper :(

Anonymous said...

Okay, I've had enough of Kyle Busch to last me forever. I've been sticking with stockcars for 50+ years, but have finally reached my limit.

I'll join you here, thoroughly enjoy all the comments, but will not watch another Kyle Busch Show. Makes me want to upchuck...

Oh, and I won't miss Punch either!

Tracy D said...

I can't believe KB is smashing a Gibson guitar! Just awful...

Anonymous said...

And Nascar continues to wonder WHY the ratings are down ...

Could it be too much Kyle / Joey / Gibbs / Hendrick domination on track & on tv ??

Dot said...

What an ********. Who does he think he is Pete Townshend? Talk about disrespectful.

Anonymous said...

Can you say "disrespectful"? Let's go dismantle his car for him. What an immature idiot!

Martin Vincent said...

Breaking the trophy?... Is he trying to gain new fans or alienate the ones who still don't hate him?...

Charlie said...

Why destroy your trophy? Many, many man hours went into making that trophy.

Anonymous said...

Did the twerp just smash the guitar on the floor? Did I see it correct?

Anonymous said...

Bush is suck a jerk.......

Daly Planet Editor said...

We talk about NHL, NBA and MLB as regional until the playoffs.

Motorsports, golf, and tennis are the ones that stay national and need to put on good shows.

Red Sox, Lakers and Bruins will always have hardcore regional fans.

Anonymous said...

Oh, please don't tell me that idiot smashed a Gibson?

Anonymous said...

I agree Tracy! Horrible :(

The Loose Wheel said...

Did anyone hear what he said on the radio...he said everyone gets a piece of the guitar tonight...

every crew guy gets a piece...

Anonymous said...

Between Kyle's comments about his "strategy" in last week's race and the guitar-smashing, it's pretty clear that he need to grow up.

Anonymous said...

IDIOT!!!!!!!!!

Daly Planet Editor said...

That is not going to go over well in the media. Not a good idea.

Tracy D said...

I think I'm skipping NW racing from now on.

Dot said...

@ JD, or how about the NASCAR suits?

Vicky D said...

My hubby is a guitarist and he is just beside himself with these KB antics.

Daly Planet Editor said...

What a totally weird way to end the night.

Anonymous said...

"I won this crummy guitar and decided to share it with my crew." Bet they'd rather have a piece of something else - and still have the guitar in their shop for the future.

Anonymous said...

He could have shown some respect & had it cut into pieces for each crew member! Not acting like a twerp- rude- disrespectful arrogant twerp.

NASCAR needs to give him the 6am come to see Jesus speech ala the one they gave Tony!

Brenda said...

Will NASCAR put up with that guitar smashing behavior?

Sophia said...

I can NOT believe he smashed the Gibson trophy.

Won't that **** off Gibson.

And Kyle wonders why so many dislike him?????????

Wow. What an ungrateful PUNK.

Has anybody ever destroyed a trophy before?

Anonymous said...

OMG....please tell me he did not freaking go Pete Townshend on the Gibson.

Love to see DW/Hinton spin this one.

Tracy D said...

DAvid, I thought he meant metaphorically, not literally! Destroying something so lovely and unique - I'd be sick if I'd spent hours making that trophy.

It was just a really uncool racing night.Add to that the truck race last night, and I'm not sure the TV ratings are going to be helped.

Charlie said...

Espn had to show the guitar smashing again. Guess they liked it.

Dot said...

@ Jo, ditto.

Karen said...

Had to be a fake guitar. All that champagne or NOS or beer or whatever would ruin it. Still, pretty insulting to Nashville.

Daly Planet Editor said...

In life there are good ideas and bad ideas. Smashing the guitar after winning the race in music city is um...let's see...NOT a good idea.

Imagine the guy who built it waiting all race long to take his pic with the winner.

Maybe he will be the one to teach Kyle some manners....

Richard in N.C. said...

I believe a one-of-a kind, Sam Bass decorated Gibson. I suspect he'll hear about that in the garage.

Brenda said...

It's insulting to NASCAR, Nashville, Gibson and the sponsors.

Anonymous said...

Remember, Kyle is TRYING to make you angry.

He desperately wants to be seen as NASCAR's "Bad Boy."

Anonymous said...

Didn't Carl Edwarsd give his Gibson guitar to David Ragan's brother a few years ago? If you don't want the trophy in 1 piece, there are millions of people that would gladly take it.

Anonymous said...

@David--yes I heard it but he didn't have to do it on National TV! If he was serious, as he obviously was, he could do it at the shop or somewhere else.

Tracy D said...

Night all.

Anonymous said...

I have watched them make those guitars at the gibson place at operyland mall, I have never been so sick in my life watching that from KB

Lou said...

To the nascar trailer. rule 12-4-A and a fine. Does not make for good TV.

Daly Planet Editor said...

Karen, the NASCAR reporter types are saying it was the real one.

Jeff Gluck is having a cow right now....

Dot said...

@ dear Sophia, yes. Kim Burton did by accident at the house by moving it. She felt horrible.

Anonymous said...

@JD we all can only hope & may the TV camera get it! If I was the guy that made the trophy I'd either hit him or just wait & walk away!

Vicky D said...

Maybe the Gibson guy and Sam Bass need to swing the rest of the guitar over KB's head now!

Glenn said...

WOW
I can only imagine how Sam Bass feels. He's such a nice man and is SO proud to paint up the guitar for Nashville.
That was terrible. I don't care what the reason for smashing it up.
I guess if Kyle wants to wear the "Black Hat" in NASCAR, I think he has succeded.
There will be no need for any radio talk show hosts to do any show prep, it's just been done.

At least people will leave Dale Jr. alone for a while.

Oh and for the part about commenting on the tv coverage, ESPN did an excellent job of showing Kyle smash the guitar.

Snafam said...

I am ill, and disgusted by that display of immaturity. A Gibson/Paul/Bass creation trashed by a brat who revels in being a brat!

Anonymous said...

A despicable action by a pathetic punk. NASCAR has become everything Brian France represents.

Daly Planet Editor said...

One of a kind Sam Bass painted Gibson Les Paul guitar...wow.

Anonymous said...

I, for one, am outraged and if NASCAR condones that behavior, it will be the very last straw!! It's one thing to be a "bad boy", but it's quite another to destroy something that cannot be replaced and that belonged to the whole team plus the OWNER - it was not a Kyle toy!!!

Anonymous said...

This is when NASCAR needs to find something in post race inspection.....send Joe Gibbs a message.

That's because he;'s a child who doesn't understand the difference.

He also doesn't understand that Bad Boys and Black Hats have fans, but people who intentionally act like jerks don't.

Dot said...

I am still horrified at SDDDs behavior. I can't even put it into words.

He's gone over the top now and someone needs to rein him in. A park job tomorrow would get his attention.

Richard in N.C. said...

On the other hand, can you imagine the money that could be raised selling tickets to KB explaining to Joe Gibbs why he smashed the trophy?

They interviewed Sam Bass before the race on MRN and I took it he was at the race.

Daly Planet Editor said...

Is everybody just as freaked out about that as I am?

Anonymous said...

And disrespecting that guitar in Music City won't sell tickets next time. Can you imagine them bringing him in to promote the next race? Don't think so!

Dot said...

@ JD, probably more so.

Anonymous said...

Could that be construed as "unsportsmanlike conduct"? Even parking him would be too good for what he did.

Hope he gets booed tomorrow so badly that even the booth boys can't ignore it. Off to the trailer for him! Suspended for the rest of the season in ANY Nascar race!!! That would make me happy - anything less & I'll remain po'd.

Brenda said...

I am so angry for the bad attitude displayed and embarrassed for NASCAR. Busch has shown terrible behavior in losing and now in winning.

Yes Richard Sam Bass was also interviewed during the race. And talked about the trophy & his paintings

JD - we are just speechless - I can't believe KB's actions. So much time and effort into making that beautiful trophy and just smash it. Wow.

What a terrible thing to do - and in front of so many race fans and viewers. No excuse will be enough this time!

Mike said...

I don't know what sort of thing NASCAR could do...but what I would do is ban him from any Nashville races in the future. What's he going to do next? Take a sledge hammer to the grandfather clock if he wins at Martinsville?

Guarantee starting with this August's Truck race at Nashville, the winner will be given a replica of the actual trophy.

If KB represents the best of NASCAR, the sport is in serious trouble. I only hope he gets an earful from Joe Gibbs tonight, a visit to the NASCAR hauler in the morning and the wrath of the media in the Cup garage tomorrow.
