Hopefully ESPN Will Re-Air Missed Keselowski Interview

Thanks for all the email on the overnight NASCAR Now fiasco. This is a new deal for ESPN with the live US Open tennis coverage.

The only airing of NASCAR Now was pushed back about 25 minutes. Fans who recorded the show saw the first several sentences from Brad K. about his move to Penske and nothing else.

This resulted from ESPN deciding to re-air Sports Nation in full, even though that show had already aired on ESPNEWS in its regular timeslot. This was the only airing of NASCAR Now, but apparently that did not motivate the Network Operations folks to resume the normal schedule with the NASCAR program.

Hopefully, this afternoon's taping of the NASCAR Now show scheduled to air at 9:30PM Pacific/12:30AM Eastern will replay the Keselowksi interview and recap of all the other news and information lost in the US Open shuffle.

Thanks again for all the email, please feel free to add your comments below.

I have not looked at my DVR recording yet. When I saw that the US Open was on, I adjusted the recording for Nascar Now to run for 1 hour instead of 30 mins. Same for the rest of the week. Maybe I am misunderstandin you though. Was the show on later, but 1/2 hour, or was it only on a few minutes and not even the 1/2 is should have been? Thanks.

Or you could just watch it on ESPN.com

The direct links do not work in the comments section. Our comments did not address anything but NASCAR Now. Thanks.

JD, I don't know which I found worse - N-Now unceremoniously pushed back or the unwatchable SportsNotion in its place. Either way, it was a clear indication that EESPN considers NASCAR fans to be only 1 step above NHRA fans.

My solution is going to be to write my congresman to encourage him to support efforts to have a la carte selling for cable so consumers can have some greater clout with the Evil Empire.

And they took Versus off DirectTV yesterday too and hubby is mad about that but we do feel like second class citizens. No wonder I'm paranoid sometiems.

They'll probably put BK during green flag racing on Saturday night.

@ Karen, true statement.

JD, I thought of you last night when I tuned to NN, which was really SN. I didn't even check back, so I missed it. I don't even care.

Let me reiterate. Don't we feel loved.

Other than the interview, there really wasn't much else, so if you weren't up (as I was, but for another show) not much was missed.

Again, SN... ICK! Never thought I'd have to sit through that again.

Do you have access to DSL? Indycar.com has race streaming and driver stats and driver cam choices. FREE!!

I have Versus but loved the radio guys online better. IMS guys. I used it for the first time last weekend..you have to sign up with email but it's free and I've gotten no spam from them in the last week.

If NASCAR Now was that important to you, you would stay up and watch it live. If not, too bad, so sad. Deal with it.

umm-yeah, that would work if I was on the left coast..and I didn't have a job.

The point I was trying to make, which kind of got lost in the shuffle, was that the re-air of Sports Nation should have been the show that was collapsed and the original airing of NASCAR Now should have been hit on time.

Lots of the afternoon Sports Nation stories are also dated late at night because they take place before the sports that are in progress at 7:30PM ET.

This is the first go-round of this US Open stuff on ESPN2, so I was trying to make sure they know that for NASCAR fans, the late night show is the only game in town.

Thanks,

JD

I am over NN.

Tired of sitting down to watch it on the DVR and either it isn't there or you only get a part of it.

Why does ESPN even bother once other "more important" sports hit the airwaves?

Personally, I am getting tired of all of this. I see the NW race is sandwiched in between 2 football games. Odds are they will switch the race to a different channel at the beginning or the end or both.

I love racing, NASCAR is my favorite. I just want to relax for a few hours, escape from the real world and watch my favorite drivers!

Why is it so difficult in the 21st century to be able to do so.

Speaking of that Di, there is a new post up about the college football vs. Nationwide Series issue about to start again on Saturday.

Thanks!
