Live Blogging The Kyle Busch Press Conference (2PM ET - SPEED)

Here we go with another special from SPEED. This time it is Sprint Cup Series driver Kyle Busch who is making the announcements.

Busch will be live on SPEED and streamed on the SPEEDtv.com website at 2PM ET. He will be revealing the details of his new Camping World Truck Series team. The telecast will be hosted by SPEED's Rick Allen.

This is important to SPEED because the CWTS is the only major NASCAR series on SPEED. The network had solid success this season and actually experienced a slight rise in the TV ratings.

This post will serve to host your comments about the live press conference on both SPEED and the SPEEDtv.com website. To add your opinion, just click on the comments button below. This is a family friendly website, please keep that in mind when posting. Thanks for taking the time to stop by.

They look so scared and look like they are in a line up! I like Brian Ickler a lot. Rick Allen is great it makes this a smooth transition.

So much for Kyle to scale back for next year. Being a team owner has got to have a large time commitment too.

I wonder how JGR feels about this.

turn the microphone on!

Some of this makes more sense...seems like to be an affiliation with JGR. This can help them to expand into the CWTS without having to go full bore.

The online feed keeps cutting out (I'm at work - shhhh). What's being said about Johnny Benson?

I wish they would bring out JB.

@Vicky--*giggle* yes Rick is doing a great job!

@Erik--Coach use to have a Pick 'em Ups team. His son Coy use to drive for it.

@Min--they're onto you *giggle* I'm at home but my online feed has been great! If you didn't find out if Kylie gets sponsorship Johnny B will be in a 3rd Pick 'em Up :)

They owe me 8 minutes!

Well these press conferences are usually boring and this one was no exception. So it sounded like he bought a lot of the equipment from Xpress Motorsports. Good luck to them and hopefully JB gets some good sponsorhip.

Gymmie, JD drove that truck too.

Erik, I think it is going to be alot like Hendrick does with other teams now where they supply many resources but don't have a huge stake in teams. JGR hangs the bodies already for CJM in NW, allowing Kyle to use some of the rigs and such shouldn't be a huge deal though I think we will see in time. Xpress has alot of proven equipment.

Excited about this though, I think they are playing a bit coy with JB, I am sure he will be at Daytona when it rolls around. A bit surprised no one asked if the 16's owners points are going on the 18 or 56 though.

YES! I forgot JD drove too!

I sure hope so! This would be so great for Johnny B!

Watching both this and the ND coach conference at same time. Scary to see the difference in emotion and or life between the two. Was anybody alive on the Speed conference??

I was underwhelmed. Needed some excitement and enthusiasm.

Hopefully, SPEED will do more of these in the future and bring back the upbeat and casual vibe of Race Hub.

Today, SPEED looked an awful lot like ESPN.

I was much, much more interested to see what is on TDP about it than the press conference itself. Thanks JD.

Maybe being an owner will mellow Kyle? Happy said he understood what RC has to deal with a lot more after becoming an owner himself.

@ Richard in NC, won't ownership just make Weed feel more entitled? I hope his drivers ( except JB) act just like he does, and without the wins.

Dot, I wish you could get a better picture of Kyle other than the guy that gets upset at finishing 2nd. 20 years ago people would be LOVING this guy, but in the politically correct kissing-up-to-sponsors day and age he gets blasted either way. The guy does so much away from the track and at the local level that people don't usually hear about nor see. Not trying to get you to like Kyle but I think entitled is a rash judgement. There are 2nd, 3rd and such generation drivers that have the entitlement issue, Kyle Petty at times is an example I feel, but I just have a much different view of Kyle. As an owner I think Richard in NC is right, it may very well mellow him out some as it has with Happy. It can be amazing the difference when your the one signing the checks at the end of the day and having to hear ALL the grief as he would from HIS employees should he overstep the team boundaries. Time will tell.

JD, I agree it was lackluster at best, but at the same time glad to see a CWTS announcement get some love! Hope they find something for JB soon!

NA$CAR has gotten so boring its really hard to believe. The next season will be a disaster for the "sport". Let the cleansing process begin.
