Is it just me or was it weird that John Roberts on NASCAR Smarts did not even acknowledge that Rut was in full Uncle Sam costume?

I heard JR refer to him as Sam several times. It's probably funnier for him NOT to really acknowledge it as anything too unusual.

Anytime Rutledge is on the screen, it's time to start channel surfing with the split screen. He brings nothing to the show and as a matter of fact, is quite aggravating. Why does the show need a village idiot, again?
I love raceday and all the cast and think they all play well off each other. Perhaps it is too new school for you but as a relatively new fan ( 3 years) I am digging what so many of you old school guys are dumping as the new face of Nascar. Raceday plays right into what I feel is emblematic of that new face. Don't take yourself too seriously. And I LOVE all the gossip outside of the racing. I don't think I'm alone in that. I am BUMMED NASCAR wives was axed before it even hit the airwaves...
